Wow John you have seem to go off track and start talking about your great time in the war. Awesome! Thanks for your service but this is about the fire truck. Congrats on the awards but like said before no one brags about them they just accept them and go on with their lives. Enjoy your awards and try to stay on track!

hey, just for the record when the gulf war ended, truckload of mre's where brought to the area that i lived in, they was supose to be given to the local prison for consumtion. But the state and prison official deemed then not good enough and not enough nutritional value for prisoners to eat... Good enough for our troops but prisoners had to have higher quality food. LRPs are much much better and last way longer. I dont know if you ever heard of them or not..here thios might help http://www.usariem.army.mil/nutri/nuadalti.ht...

Now that's just comical. Best laugh I've had in about 24 hours. Thanks for sharing your brilliance.

I personally was driving on 244 today... a police officer passed me going a lot faster than what I was moving...No lights... and he was headed down town... I was doing the speed limite of 65 miles per hour...Many officers exceed the speed limit for what seems like no reason...They should have to obey the speed limit just like we do...

The fire truck was responding to an accident call. Was this car on fire??? Or were they going to hose down some fuel that MIGHT of spilled? I simply do not understand why the fire deparment feels they have to respond to every medical emergency. That is what we have EMS for. Maybe they will now see the danger in running these hugh trucks to every medical call. I pray the 3 firemen will fully recover asap.
It never fails that when the fire truck beats the ambulance to a call, they park the truck just where EMSA needs to park. JUST STAY AT THE FIREHOUSE UNLESS THERE IS A FIRE...

Applies to ALL emergency personnel. The next time you see a cop speeding, think to yourself, "maybe he's trying to get to the call faster to catch a bad guy!" P.S. Sirens WARN a bad guy we are coming!!!!)

<quoted text> so there you have it in a nut shell.(That means yes we can exceed or violate common traffic laws (i.e. stop signs and speed limits) thats the biggest crock of shit ive heard yet. you are not above the law. you think you are, but your not. and for you to even say something like you did. shows me that you are a fucking moron. no less.
"Traffic laws" are ORDINANCES, Not LAWS you dumb@ass!
Laws are set by the Legislature and ORDINANCES are set by the city council of the city they represent!

Remember that the next time you call Police to your house and say,“Damn! If you were only here 1 minute earlier, you could have caught ‘em!”

Oh, and don’t forget to add …“Why didn’t you use your siren when you were hurrying up to get to me?”…“What’s that?… The siren warns the bad guys you are coming?... Ohhh, I didn’t think about that officer… I guess I’m not as smart as I thought I was.”

I don't think it should matter at this point who or what caused the wreck....Is everyone OK? Did EVERYONE survive....People sure do ASS U ME alot.....Have you tried driving a 25 ft long vehicle filled with water going (Iwill low ball this) 40mph? where everyone stops directly infront of you or pulls to Left? It should be to the RIGHT. I hope everyone is going to recover from this wreck....Fraternally, Kristen

If you are on a high way and exceeding the speed limit you are not likely to hear the siren coming up behind you until the last second. Which means someone panics and swerves right into you, stops in the lane of traffic, serve over and hits someone else. etc, etc.
Using the highway to get to a call is a more efficient means to get to another call quicker, not that bad guys are camping out on I-244.
Come on man, use your head!
