just exactly WTF happened yesterday? Everyone elected (even the mayors seat) either is or has been a council member that has played a part in taking the city to the dumps. To top that, they approved 3 year alternating council terms that will cost the city millions in extra additional election costs. I have never in my life seen a city of people write their death sentence in one big swoop like this. I hope every Tulsan gets the shirts taxed right off their backs as payment for their incredibly ignorant act. This has got to be the biggest blunder the world has ever witnessed.

Thank you. Since Roman Catholic Church members are supposed to behave in agreement with Jesus' teachings, Dewey Bartlett, Jr. was not Christ like in his campaign tactics.

Of course, Jesus himself avoided government politics. He never criticized the Romans who were ruling Israel.

Some Pharisees (that's the religious right of the 1st Century AD) told Jesus that King Herod was looking for him. Jesus knew they were lying and he said, "You go tell that fox ..."

He knew that they wouldn't go to Herod and tell him that Jesus said he as a fox.

Get a clue. Mayor Taylor actually balanced the budget while in office. She also reduced spending and made the City more efficient. You all like to pick on her but the truth is she has done more for Tulsa than our previous mayor ever did and she has left the City in much better shape. She didn't take a salary, so what. She saved the City a lot of money by making that decision. Whose job do you think they will cut to pay Dewey Bartlett?

none, since it has been budgeted in. Might save on her staff salaries which is where her check reportedly went.

The rest of the citizenry will not hesitate to rant, rave and vilify the next administration if they disagree with any portion of their agenda. These are the same citizens who didn't vote, mind you. Probably too busy making inane and insulting comments to one another on anonymous internet chat sites.

Amen to that. While no place is perfect, except maybe the Playboy Mansion, Tulsa sure has a long way to go before it will become a place of destination. As soon as it gets good leadership with someone who can bring decent jobs, lower taxes, fix the roads properly, lower the crime rate and help improve the schools, it will always be the same old Tulsa. It is a nice place, but it has been on the decline for many years. Tulsans clearly demonstrated that they don't care what happens to that city because of the low turn out. The negative advertising campaign also had something to do with it, I am certian. Good luck Tulsa...

That commandent refers to killing a person alive and living on his own. There is no commandment in the Bible which states "Thou shall not commit abortion."

The Jewish men of Bible times and other men of later times believed that women were incubators for their "seed" in which a very tiny fully formed baby lived. Even Leonardo da Vinci in his human anatomy drawings drew a miniature baby in the fetal position in the head of a man's "semen," aka "seed." The invention of the microscope proved them all wrong.

I don't approve of using abortion as a method of birth control; but, the life of the already living woman is more important than what is growing in her body, especially when carrying that to term and the woman giving birth will kill her.
