It will provide raises for the administrative and thats about it. Most kids wont know any thing.

be fair, Taylor has been taught the art of indoctrination from her many trips to Washington. Tulsa had how many schools at risk, crime, violence and now player fraud. Yep that's who I would hire to build education up state wide. Only a liberal would think like this.

It will never work in Oklahoma. Why? Because it was proposed by Obama, so even if it is a good idea the bass-ackwards conservative majority in this state will reject it based on their vigilant principle of saying no to anything new or innovative!

Im disgusted in Kathy Taylors comments on education. When's the last time you spent at length in schools looking at the daily struggles for educators. Educators not only have to educate, they have to be day care workers, counselors etc. And to ad they have to drive busses, clean rooms, work in cafeteria's because of budget cuts. I don't think anyone gets in education for the money. They do it because they wont to educate those that want to be educated. Im disgusted with state government always wanting to cut education, police and fire. If we are not a safe state no one will come.........

This Jet is the USAF C-32, Boeing 757, that MADAME PELOSI uses.

And the Democrats want to talk about Sarah's dress??? Sane people! Are you out there?

Madame Pelosi wasn't happy with the small jet USAF C-20B, Gulfstream III, that comes with the Speaker's job...no, Madame Pelosi was aggravated that that jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat 200-seat USAF C-32, Boeing 757 jet that could get her back to California without stopping!

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone that Nancy 's Big Fat Jet costs us, the hard working American tax-payers, thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California, cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000, one way!

As Joe put it,'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night.' Cost to us: another $60,000.

Folks, that is $480,000 per month, an annual cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000. Are you really O.K. with that??

No wonder she complains about the cost of this war - t might cramp her style and she is Styling, on my back and yours. I think of the military families in this country doing without, and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of this country keeps fueling that jet while dreaming up new ways to tax us.

Madame Pelosi wants you and me to 'conserve our carbon footprint.' She wants us to buy smaller cars, and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires. These people are nuts!

I just read where the oklahoma tribes recieved 135milloin in stmulus money! Where the hell is there casino profits choctah nation profited / profited a 122million dollars from there casinos? cherokee nation profited over 200million as of 10/01/2009 where is this money at? I say us there own money for there housing and road projects or what ever thier spending it on. This is the BIGGEST crock of bull**** i have ever heard..........

Our education system is in trouble. School budgets get cut continuously and the responsiblity of the school staff/teachers continuosly rise. Parents aren't held accountable for their kids, kids aren't accountable for their actions, BUT the school is responsible for EVERYTHING. Parents need to be parents and take responsiblity for raising their children including helping with homework, drilling facts, spelling words, shapes, colors, etc. I'm not saying all parents are dead beats but it is amazing how many are not doing their job! Parents need to communicate with teachers and support them, too many kids play parents against teachers similar as mom vs dad.

Maybe just maybe the problem with the public schools has something to do with their leadership. I know hard to swallow but follow me here. The NEA has been lead by the liberals and supported all liberal candidates for the past 40 years and yet the schools continue to decline and fail. So what does the NEA and TPS do, adopt more cockamamy liberal ideas and policies. Definition of insanity anyone?
Money is not the problem or the solution. The DC schools pay out an average of $10,000 per student and is ranked one of the worst in the nation. Oklahoma is at about $8,000 per student. The problem is that public schools are just that public and therefore ran as any other government agency. Government agencies don't have a very good track record as of late. Before we throw a dollar at the schools we should have a full independent audit peformed without any government interference. The audit should be made public (I know that transparency thing is hard for you liberals)to the local communities. Then we can really see what is or is not working.

You have nailed it, but to change the schools, we must first change the parents and make them accountable Together with the schools for educating our children and grandchildren. There are too many programs for the few that take away for the many. The first thing americans must learn is not everyone is suited for college. We need skilled labor as well as presidents. Their should be a national test (without quotas) that determine if you are skilled, unskilled or college material. Then proceed in accordance with your test score.

It sounds to me that an excess of money is being spent on sports in schools, Coaches getting hundreds of thousands of dollars to coach sporting events. That money could be more efficiently used to help educate the children. No doubt also large sums being spent to transport people (teams ) to these events. I think they should get their priorites straight.

The only kind of sports any public school needs are those which are taught in physical education classes.

Interscholastic athletic events are not even necessary for classroom education.
