Most the California Gangs are Mexican gangs and they are a direct reflection of La Familia prison gang who calls the shots for many of the sub Mexican gangs. Today they work for the cartels for the most part but are invisible to the average citizen. "Zetas" for example which are a very brutal gang is a gang from Mexico, not california, who have place members in every state in the Union and set them to recruiting. I know of one former Zeta in the state of Oklahoma who I met and got to know a bit because we were both from California and I recognized his tattoos as being Los Angeles and asked him about it. He came to the USA as a small boy, in Texas, grew up speaking English, speak fluent English, was taken to Los Angeles, started hanging out in Huntington Park which is almost all Latino gangs these days, got jumped into the Zetas and sent back to Texas by the Mexican Zetas. He's a hard looking guy but I guess he really didn't have his heart into it because he walked on the gang and hides out in Tulsa these days. But he told me that Zetas are everywhere and he expects one day they will find him and kill him. Sad story really. But the moron "Words aka Packing Heat" lists the Zetas as a California Gang. They are not. They are a Mexican gang controlled by the cartels.
