Rachel: just for the record: look at the record yourself.

http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/tulsacr...

I realize the pics per se are not mentioned but without the pics it would be just another unimpressive statistic.

There are 80 gazillion people on line. To a couple of hundred of them this person was loved and will be missed greatly

When you use a forum this big ya gotta know that to the rest of us it's just another cool gory pic!

Good or bad , it's just the way it is

I just saw the pics when some sick F sent me them in my email so I thought I would investigate further.
First my sincere condolences to the family of this fallen rider.
I cant believe how many "Stupid" comments there are by some real sick F's out there
No I dont agree with what he was doing and maybe it did cause his demise but it was his choise, I am pleased no one else was involved.
I fewel sad for the truck driver who must have been feeling ill for a long time seeing that.
I condone the fact these pictures are circulating the net.
I am an expert racer and keep my thrills for the track.
Sad to see little compassion from many.
Hey my thoughts and Prayers are with the family and friends of the dood.

Its been almost a year since my cousin past and people still want to say sh~t about him. My cousin was loved and is missed dearly. I just cant believe how inconsiderate people can be. Would you be saying that if it was your family member? I think not.

I ride with my 23 yo son. Very sobering pics! We've not wanted to ride our bikes (FZ1 and VT1100) since we've seen the pics. My condolences to his friends and family. I thank Brandon's parents for wanting these pics shared in hopes of averting such a tragedy.
I’m like Bandon because I think there is nothing like going 140mph. His bike (before the crash), jacket and helmet look like mine. Unlike Brandon, once was enough. I found a straight stretch of road with no egress and waited till the road was all mine. I took a calculated risk in breaking the law and killing myself but made sure I did not include anyone else. If you’re going to do this: do it alone, do it once and know you can die if a groundhog runs out in front of you. I recommend Salt Lake Flats or a drag strip. Leave even an innocent truck driver out of it. The speed alone was scary enough. Add the gyro effect of the bike at these speeds and forget about counter-steering around obstacles.
I would have never been able to convey the risks of speed to my son like Brandon did. We will ride again but we’ll be more careful even at normal speeds. Brandon’s pics have and will save lives. He did not die in vain.
Finally, we’re all stupid, and we all do stupid things, so get over being so stupid to think otherwise. The most stupid thing I’ve seen in all this is making fun of this tragedy.
My uncle and aunt (brandons family)did not want those pics released. The EMS posted those pics without permission from my family. We are going to court due to that.

You're ALL stooopid. There's no way that he hit that truck at 120 mph and was left with his head just barely sticking into a hole with one little drop of blood upon his chinny-chin-chin! His toes look all pink and pretty to me!

Nicole, you keep talking about how we wouldn't say he was stupid if we lost our family members, like you're the only one who has ever lost someone. Sorry, that's simply not true, and it doesn't make it less stupid for someone to be driving 120 MPH. It was selfish and stupid. There are so many things that can go wrong at that speed. You can get in an accident and kill yourself, or get into an accident and kill others. Glad it was the first, not the second because I've lost some to both. I can tell you the second is a lot worse than the first though.

He will be forever remembered on the internet for those accident pictures.
Not as bad as those gruesome Nikki Catsouras photos that were circulating on the web several years ago.

This story has disturbed me from the moment I saw it. I am a registered nurse and when I saw the caption "he lived" I could not believe it. I thought to myself "yes, he lived, but he was a vegetable. I ride a HD Screaming Eagle Vrod. I speed. I wear a full face helmet....sometimes. Brandon did make a difference to me. I will always wear my helmet and I won't be racing the wind anymore. I have checked into this story because I could not believe any parent would want this story on the internet...esp. saying that he lived! I guess his dad was right...if it helps one person....

I just got the pictures in a mass email as well. If it was my brother/son/friend I would be furious that they were all over the net. I'm not sure if everyone in their life hasn't sped before. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. The bottom line is, a young life was lost. That should never be the case. RIP Brandon.

It sounds like natural selection was at work here. Stupid people SHOULDN'T breed and thank goodness he won't be passing on his "stupidity gene"!!

By excessively exceeding the speed limit, he put his life and those around him in jeopardy. Thankfully no one else got hurt because of his stupidity.

I hope that his motorcycle insurance paid for the damage he caused to the tractor trailer.

The photos sent to me by email were sickening, unfortunately they said he lived. I am so so sorry he did not make it, so sorry, such a tragety but people use the internet to publish stuff like this are idiots. My heart goes out to his family.

Nicole and Brandon's family,
This mrning on my way to work I started to cry thinking about my brother who was killed 8/19/06 on his motorcycle. I miss him no less than I did back then. It must take years to finally stop crying for the loss of a loved one. This is my first. And my only sibling. I often ask my brother when I am feeling blue to show me a "sign" that he is still with me and watching over me. He usually delivers as he did this morning when I got to work and had received an email regarding Brandon. Although the email I received with pictures I would have rather not seen, and it broke my heart when I learned that Brandon's fate was the same as my brothers, it did comfort me slightly to receive the sign I had asked for from my brother. Although this was not exactly the kind of sign I was wanting, I think my brother is trying to tell me something. I hope that Brandon's father has continued his crusade of safety awareness on motorcycles, I personally would distroy each and every motorcycle on the planet if I could. Too many lives are lost and the majority of the time it isn't the cyclist at fault, it's all the idiots driving cars that don't look out for them. My brother was actually hit by a truck head on and the driver was drunk.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope that the hurt will ease more and more as the years pass.

Your one sick person!! May God forgive you for your poor choice of words and insensitivity to the family who lost someone they loved. Just wait until someone you loved is taken from you!!

The guy wasn't stupid, he was just irresponsible. He didn't "deserve" what he got...but ...certainly was old enough to know the risk for himself and ...perhaps you or your children traveling the same road as he...and accepted the risk he put himself and everyone else in for a joy ride... Going 120 MPH on a motorcycle on a public highway is not only irresponsible it is incredibly selfish.....His family will probably sue the trucking company, the motorcycle manufacturer, the helmet company, the trailer door company, the chest protector company, the glove maker, the blue jean company, the driver and his family the gas station that sold the gas for the motorcycle and on and on and on..people will lose their jobs, families will be ruined financially and etc..and his family will get paid for his "tragic" yet ridiculous death by a jury persuaded by a smart Jewish lawyer who will handle the case on a contingency and will earn 50% of the award...and then he'll donate 10% of the millions he earns to a charity group for a tax write off and that group will use it to teach motorcycle safety to Somalians...the key safety check list will be....if you are riding along at 120 MPH and suddenly see a truck and trailer right in front of you...bend over very quickly and kiss your ass good bye...what a idiot...
