You talking about the waitress that made over $100 in tips last Friday night, yet reported only $10 of it to the IRS so she could still qualify for the earned income tax credit at the end of the year? Yep... I really feel for her.<quoted text>
Who would be there to give your hamburgers at the drive through if everyone was as well off financially as you? You think fast food workers make enough money to pay $10,000 in taxes? They're lucky if that make that or over in 1 year! Not everybody that is poor are "lazy" not working for living people. It's called an earned income tax credit, usually people with kids making less then 38,000 a year get that. Think about that next time you tip your waitress for serving YOU food at 2 bucks an hour!
I have no problem with the people that are out there working and still qualify for the credit. The ones that irk me are the ones that stop working when they have made the "right" amount to get the most EIC, instead of working the rest of the year. Then they complain that only the "rich" are getting the full $600. Give me a break!!
