simple, You should check your facts. The Sapulpa Fire Department made over 2500 runs last year. You go ahead and do the math on that and let me know how you think this is a waste of money. Maybe you can talk to one of the many people whose property and lives have been saved by these guys.
Liz, you're right. If you're the one who started the original fb page, we ran with your idea. Please don't be bitter. We needed one where the guys could be the administrator. Please join our new fb page and continue to support us. We would appreciate it!

You mean with all the fire runs, medicals, wrecks and everything else. Sapulpa only makes 2500 runs a year? I wouldn't use that number to make my case to the city. Average around seven runs a day for the whole department? Leaves lots of time to polish equipment.

the small city of sapulpa got to big for there small city budget...let the fire men go, fire some of those cops, city employees and city manager, and contract it out...save a lot of money, get rid of the buddy buddy system they got going on there and last but not least, get rid of the family members that have been stealing from the city for years and years...regroup and start all over...

and you fire and police and city employee's...you chose your job and didn't you learn or hear somewhere there is no job that you cant be fired or laid off from...even the president of the united states can be fired...so with that in mind...

I am appalled that anyone could say "screw you" to our loyal firefighters!! Even more appalling is that these comments are coming from those who do not even live in Sapulpa! These men respond to not only fires, but car accidents, medical emergencies, and more. We have an extremely dedicated group of firefighters in our city, which is extremely spread out - from Town West, all the way south to the area of Lone Star schools, and from near Kellyville to the Jenks/Glenpool border. I have had to rely on their assistance several times, and their response time is phenomenal. The dedication they show, along with their caring attitude and professionalism is unparalleled. We cannot afford to lose these men or the station!! Check out the article in our local paper - the city subsidized our pitiful golf course $200,000 last year - the amount our fire dept. is being asked to cut. Until our city has more money in the budget, let's CLOSE THE GOLF COURSE!!! Very few people play on it, anyway, and I'd much rather have these men on duty than a golf course being played by a few retired men - they can drive to Tulsa! City leaders - WAKE UP!!! Find other places to cut the budget - how about with city councilors, and an assistant mayor's position. Do we really need that? I think not!! I SUPPORT OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT!!

it is interesting that the City of Sapulpa has enough $ though to pay for two or more patrol units to pull over elderly drivers at 2 o'clock in the afternoon! Absolutely rediculous........those of you that live or drive in Sapulpa should pay attention to that. When an officer has someone pulled over; young or old, there is ALWAYS at least two units!

Take out the bogus calls (dry runs) and what's the total? 1,000 okay now take out 365 trips to Reasors and 365 trips in the firetruck to Walmart and that's pretty close. I guess since Sapulpa took over a huge part of Tulsa then more are/were needed. There is a need for the department of course. Sapulpa has expanded like Glenpool and Owasso but that doesn't mean that many are needed.

Kinda off topic but have the Fireman offered paycuts, days off even, split time, expan volenteer? Do we even have volenteers like most towns? Maybe I should get more informed with the number. I think we all should

and BTW I live in Sapulpa but have my topic's set for Tulsa (like millions of others do) and the Golf Course has always been took care of because that is were all the city police, lawyers, Judges and so play golf. they aren't going to let that go. Plus the Golf Course does make some money from fees and rentals and God know from somewhere else. Crooks just like the whole county. Everyone knows Creek County is Fraud County and it's ALL about who you know and what you have on them or what they have on you. ALWAYS been that way and ALWAYS will be that way.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
