Wolf...who cares why he was bleeding? The smug look in the photo tells me he is, unfortunately, going to live. I wonder about the wake...guys drunk and the coffin in the home --is that legal?

Just judging from his appearance, I'm questioning if even Bobby Edwards is his real name. Are we sure it isn't Roberto Eduardo?

Unfortunately, I know a little about the situation and what was going on. I think his brother was the one the wake was for. Apparently, his heart exploded, probably due to drug use. Of course that is just speculation on my part. He was in his 30's or something. Wakes aren't that uncommon to be held in the home of Native Americans or Hispanics. I'm not sure which one he is. I've just heard of his violent and controlling tendencies. He was also just released from prison earlier in the year. I think for the same charge of attempted murder. All this is 2nd and 3rd hand information, BTW.

It's Native Americans. The wake in the home generally last 3 days, older tradition says 4. There are MANY rules and rituals that follow over that period of time. It's actually really interesting, I had to study it for school at one point.

That last post was in response to "Suzi's" comment, for some reason when I pushed reply it didn't put what she said in quotes.

Thanks for the info. Natives have such rich culture. I'm the queen of caucasion, so I hate to say I'm a little naive in that area. Wish I was more worldly.

Wakes are very common among certain tribes. Unfortunately, so is drinking. My ex and his family got fall down drunk while planning a relative's funeral. Nice... Glad I'm the ex.
