Glad to see a local brewery here.

I wonder if Oklahoma will ever change it's liquor laws allowing cold 6 point beer and alcohol sold in grocery stores?

Blue laws are un-American.

No kidding, what a joke of a law. If you want decent beer, you have to go to the liquor store, and even then the selection isn't that great due to the same type of laws. The watered down crap at QuikTrip is worthless and lower alcohol content promotes binge drinking among problem drinkers.

I just got back from McNellies and had a glass of the McNellie's Pub Ale. I haven't had many different beers so this is definitely a novice opinion, but it was really great. Pretty strong, but not as dark as a Guinness and it had a pretty pleasant aftertaste for about 30 minutes or so. Glad to see this happening in Tulsa.

If you like the beer you just drank...have another. If you don't try another till you do. Simply drinking one beer and saying "I don't like beer" is not a very astute way to decide to dislike a beer. It's not a very good way to make decisions on most anything for that matter.

So Drink Up!

Don't drive though...get someone to take you Home.

Marshall produces an India Pale Ale, an American Wheat Ale, and what they are calling McNellie's Pub Ale, which is like an English bitters or ESB...
I've heard rumors the next beer they make will be a German style Pils, which I am very excited about. I think they will also be making some seasonals eventually.
You can get them all at NcNellie's in Tulsa and OKC. As the article says, they should be available in bottles in liquor stores pretty soon. Last I heard was by the end of July.

No, I don't like Bud Light 3.2 or 6 point. The fact is that the 6 point variety will taste better always. I don't want 6 point just because it gets you drunk faster.

And also, even though I wouldn't engage in such an act, I'd wager that I'd drink you under the table anyday, I'm by far not a rookie...alcoholic more like it :)

There is no "6 point" Bud Light you chucklehead. Bud Light in a state like Texas that doesn't require low point beer is 4.2 by volume.

The Oklahoma law is by WEIGHT, so when you convert volume to weight your precious "6 point" Bud Light is actually 3.36 compared to our 3.2 version. Not a big difference at all.

People that believe the "6 point" myth are idiots.

I'm just referring to it as "6 point" generically, I know it's not all 6 point...idiot.
