it's amazing how this story has been put out there. 2 nights on the news and web. When they talked about ONG ripping us off this winter the story lasted about 30 seconds on the news and did not even make the website.

They have done this before, implied the rates would be lower, which they were, but then raised the base cost which actually canceled out the decrease.

how many times do we have to bang our heads against this wall? when friends come from other parts of the country they laugh at our power poles and the vunerability. but whats to expect of this area? hold on to the old ways because it brings money to those who dont want the change for the better.. our power issues (especially since last year) are becoming more and more pathetic.

One of the BIGGEST issues is that people are against having a transformer box in their yard. The "Stop the box" idiots in South Tulsa have really hampered efforts. Those are also the people the yell the loudest when they lose power.

Honestly I am totally suprised that they haven't raised the rate for things like reconnect fees. It's 22.00 to get the power back on if you get it cut off for non payment. If they raised that maybe people wouldn't put off paying the bill.

Prices for everything are going up no matter what. It's a given. I'm also suprised we haven't had to just pay extra on utilities for postal service. Sure, the stamp went up but that's not enough to keep them going with email and all that. Shocked they haven't added oh, 10 bucks a month to the water bill or something crazy like that.

there are legit instances where peps cannot make their payments on time.. increasing the reconnect
fee would just make the poor, poorer...

Wouldn't it be nice if all we were paying for is what we use their business for? I believe in helping schools, but I think PSO is going overboard with offering whole books and workbooks free for any class that wants them, to educate children about electricity. Does anyone have any idea how many classrooms that can accept this, at our expense?

I'm sure there are cases. BUT alot of times it's like anything else. People put off what they should be paying to go to the fair or spend it on fireworks. Sometimes you have to make certain things a priority. It's common sense.

I'm confused... The first paragraph states a 18%drop and then the article goes on to say there will be an 11% increase... so what's the story?
