Gas needs to drop at least a dollar for the average Joe to notice. I agree somebody needs to look into why the big difference in gasoline prices between here and OKC. I heard it's because QT has the market in Tulsa and 7-11 has the market in OKC, so that probably explains the bigger QT mark up. All I know is it s u x!

if u want 100% gasoline. check th 66 gas station at 21st and lewis!!
brenda? I understand what you're saying, but believe it or not, It all comes out of the same tank at the delivery mans pick up point. Ask the guy delivering gas someday about it, see what he says. Down here where im at, theres a few station that only have two tanks in the ground( ya know the filler caps you see in the parking area of the station?) one tank is deisel. the other gasoline. the pumps sell three different grades at 3 different prices, but yet there is only one gasoline tank servicing the pumps. Not many people notice things like that. If you see three filler caps, thats diesel, reg gas, premium gas. That mean two different grades of gas. check to see how many grades the pump sells.. food for thought.

Yes, gas is about 30 cents per gallon cheaper in the OKC area. Price fixing? Price gouging? The QuikTrip gas monopoly? Where is Rick Wells when we need him? Rick, hey....what's the deal????

All stations have at least 2 tanks: 87 octane, and 91 octane. There is one more tank if they sell diesel. 89 octane is made by blending 87 and 91 at the pump. Look at the certification stickers on the pumps and you will see the test results from a state auditor.

Tanker trucks have multiple compartments, so it only takes one truck to fill all three tanks when they show up.

You're right about it all coming from the same place, though. The only thing different in different stations' gas is the additive package blended in when the truck is loaded. That makes a HUGE difference.

I'm refering to some of the station here in Rural oklahoma. The only have two tanks in the ground. One deisel, One gas. Most i have see are 20000 gallon thanks 23'x8' with no compartments. The deisel tank get topped off or added to from one truck compartment, and the other from another. What i'm saying is, when the single stage gas tank gets fill with one kind of gas, but yet the pump sells four different grades, something is wrong with that picture. Reg, Reg unleaded, super unlead, supreme. There is no mixing at the pump in this case. Im just glad i do not have to buy any fuel from "gas stations".

In watching the market again today, we are down yet another day, where are the price changes that we should be seeing at the pumps? Although they will deny it, QT drives the price on the street in the Tulsa market, every station moves based on how QT sets the price. QT purchases "on demand" meaning they purchase close to inventory limits in their tanks. They don't need to run thru a bunch of inventory and can easily move the prices. Again, our pump prices should easily be down in the 2.60 to 2.65 price range and QT would still be making a large profit per gallon. If they are so community minded, then why aren't they actually doing something for the Tulsa community.

What is sad is that they have us thinking that 3.79 is a good price. What happened to $1 something?

Wow Roy I bet she is a beauty! You will be surprised how much people are willing to pay for the older vehicles. We have been looking for a late 60 early 70 model mustang so my son can rebuild and have but wow they are hard to find and when we do they way to much work for the price people are asking.

No, really im going to will it to my son in law. He always asks about it and i know he wants it. I just wish he would keep it in original shape. I have a complete rebuild kit i bought years ago at JC Whitney and a big box of replacement parts. I feel he want to chop it and make a street rod out of it. Maybe by the time i die he will be responcible enough to realize its value. There not many solid steel body A's around anymore. Lots of fiberglass fakes. The boy dont know it, but about every 6 months o go out there and dump a litte clean gas in her and she fires up real quick. I just throw a six volt batter under the seat, pull the ckoke, set the timing lever on the steering colum and hit the starter. purrrrrs like a model A should. I have a brand new (meaning never used) 34 ford F60 (ford 60 horse flathead) still in the crate. I was going to modifie the old girl and giver some more poop. That was back in the shine runnin days. Never got done. I bought a 40 ford super deluxe for ding that. it sits right next to the A in the barn.
