My sister and daughter report that gas prices in Peoria, Il were down to $3.76 yesterday, which is a decrease in gas prices from $4.05 a few days ago!

I won't feel better until diesel drops. We are paying $4.59 a gallon as of yesterday and go through $300-$500 a day depending on the haul.

It does not make me feel any better either. We have one of the lowest wages and I know some of the things that we pay for milk, gas, etc...is way to pricey for Oklahoma. Hell they have even raised rent around here. 1 or 2 bed shack now is going for $700 dollars and you are lucky if it does not fall in on you.

I am just thankful that i bought a house because i pay a lot less then these poor people renting, it is crazy. It's a good thing I go to my boss and get my vegetables then she has a garden and they are better than store bought and don't cost me a thing.

Will someone also please explain to me how gas can jump up 10 cents but go down a penny at a time?

This is nice to hear, however, we are still 20 cents higher than the market pricing is for Tulsa, QT is driving the Tulsa market and is refusing to lower their pricing and is currently making 20 cents or higher profit. For example, the Tulsa market has already dropped by over 10 cents today, on top of over 30 cents last week.

Sudden demand from such as holiday travel for instance. Why it tapers off more slowly, I don't know.

Are you serious? Does this little 6 cent drop actually make a noticeable difference in fuel prices when they are tetering on $4 a gallon. Let's not get too confident...how about I have no confidence in the energy prices at all!

As of last Saturday 7-19-08 Vinita, Joplin and all the way up thru Kansas City was already sitting at 3.79 That includes Q.T also in Kansas City. Some smaller stores later in the day on Sat. had even dropped to 3.76
I think Tulsa and surround need to stop trying to make such a big profit and worry about the customer.

I know some don't think this is a big drop, but I believe it will keep going down if we just have faith. If we can only keep those speculators from panicking every time a butterfly flaps its wings!

That would be nice. They haven't worried about their customers in so long I'm afraid we wouldn't know how to act!
