Minding their own business off the roadway, where they in the way? I feel bad for her family, but why did she leave the highway? Sure hope a cell phone wasn't the reason. No phone call or text is worth a life!!

Wow, way to jump to conclusions DLD! Maybe she had a tire blowout, maybe she had a medical condition, maybe she was cutoff. There are many, many circumstances that could have led to this wreck. Just think; someones daughter, wife, mother, sister, or best friend is not coming home tonight. Have some compassion and stop rushing to judgement. |

May God be with all involved

As I stated "WHY" did she leave. And sure hope it wasn't!!! No judgement there.Com passion was stated " I feel bad for her family!"

Horrible news. I know it's hot, and miserable, and we all want to get where we are going.....but everybody be cautious, and yes, don't be a bully. I was just comming home down Sheridan about 41st headed north.
It is a construction zone, and I had let a couple other cars in line ahead of me, even though I too just wanted to get home. But, a big SUV decided he would cut ahead of everybody else, and when he got beside me he decided to just force his way in. I politely, stayed in my lane but he kept coming on into my lane. It is these kind of people that cause road rage incidents. My 16 yr. was with me. I guess if nothing else that bully did give her an example of some of the people that are out there driving without manners, or regard for other's safety. Please everybody, remember your manners, and let's all get home safely.! |

Cliff: how did you get so close to this horrid accident. Unbelievable photo. Sad news, just keep it slow and pace yourself.. hopefully this person didn't fall asleep or on cell phone. Sad sad. |
|
Maybe if more realistic pics like this were posted, people would acknowledge the responsibility that comes with driving.. Very sad. |

You have a very good point and it has actually been used. When I was in drivers ed the highway patrol came and showed pictures of crashes. These were not edited and there was no privacy issues since you could not tell who the people were or what gender they were. We had some throw up watching the presentation. |

WHy didn't you just let the guy come on your line...what is so wrong with that. Yeah he could have been someone who wanted to get ahead but what is the big deal trying to let someone in. I was on Sheridan road a few days ago. Since I am from Mannford and didn't realize it was a construction zone and found myself in the wrong lane. NO ONE WOULD LET ME IN. Everytime I let people in because it is not that big of a deal. People are asses on the road and it sounds like you are one too. You are the reason for road rage. I had to make a right turn in between businesses and go all the way around..which in a way was better because I didn't have to sit in the long line to get back on the freeway. I want to know why people do not let people in? Like I said, I always LET PEOPLE IN because one extra car in front of me is not going to make a difference at all. |

I was driving westbound on the BA shortly after this accident happened. Trust me it was bad. I can't recall seeing any worse even when I was a police officer. My prayers to the families of all involved!

I usually let people over too, but when some jerk decides to FORCE his way in just because his vehicle is bigger....then NO I won't let them over. |
|
The dude said he had been letting in cars, but after some point you gotta get on yourself, so he probably started moving up and big jerk in big suv thought he'd just bully his way over anyhow.

Well brain scientist. I guess you didn't bother really reading the post. I had already let two cars in, and actually had also allowed a left hand turner to safely pull on into the lane, because others were not letting him in. I am glad all 3 of these drivers gave me the "thank you" wave. Something tells me, you are probably a jerk and don't thank those who let you in. Maybe it is karma that not many drivers let you in . Could be you look like you post so people don't want to help you. And, maybe next time you could read the construction signs before the lane ends, and wait your turn. I know when somebody treats me rudely or looks at me like they are going to MAKE me let them in front of me, those folks usually aren't on my list of folks I'm gonna let in. If nobody would let you in, maybe everybody thought you looked and/or acted like a jerk! |

By the way before you anser "brain scientist" is kind of a blonde joke kind of thing we get a kick out of. I have a blonde wife and she is very smart, but we do love our blonde jokes!

please do not pick on me as I am only trying to convey the facts...
I was on the scene seconds after the collision. no cell phone was being used, noone fell asleep. Drinking was not an issue. the van was on the shoulder with a vehicle in front of him on the shoulder as well. The hyundai struck the van after swerving. This was an accident. My heart felt condolences go out to the family of the deceased passenger of the hyundai who struck the van. The driver should have been obviously paying more attention- I feel for everyone involved. What a horrible price to pay for an accidental mistake. Thanks to the Police and Fire Dept-you did a fantastic job. I pray for the speedy recovery of the driver of the car, and the passenger of the van. God Bless, the passenger- ma'am, you will be missed. |

Cliff, Do you have any more pictures from the scene? |

those pictures are amazing. they really are scary. hope everyone thinks about those images when they go to answer their phone, or cross 3 lanes of traffic to not miss their exit, or race that car that looks faster than yours.
just stop and think before you have something awful like this happen. **not meaning this woman did any of these** god bless all of these families |
