As a long time TU fan...I notice growing up that this town is not into Tulsa sports, so who would want to be on the field, look up, and see empty seats?

Agreed. Who would want to see a bunch of empty seats? It's pretty sad

It's a shame that a team who is doing so well can't get more support. People need to realize if they want to keep a team worth bragging about they need to support them by being at the games.

they should make it to where coaches cannot be approached until season along with bowl games are over.

He's not going anywhere. Why would Auburn hire a coach from this conference that can't win a game against a top 30 team?

I've never been to a college football game, but always wanted to go. Good to see TU back in the saddle again. I would hate to see TU lose another great coach, so I hope he stays.
I agree that Tulsa is just an unfortunate stepping stone for bigger and brighter opportunities for college sports. Look at all the TU basketball coaches we've had in the past that really made a name for themselves elsewhere, once they left Tulsa. It is a shame, but it is what it is.
As for me, I'm a Jenks resident and an OKC Thunder season ticket holder. So I drive 200 miles round-trip to each home game.
GO THUNDER!!!

Tulsa has never really supported any sport except when Nolan Richardson was here. We had Tulsa Roughnecks, they drew a crowed for a while but booted out their coach, and then it went down the tubes. Tulsa Oilers baseball back when it was AAA, they packed the place. Now we have AA baseball, they can't even 1/2 way pack the place with free admission, now they getting new ball field... go figure

Might be a blessing in disguise. Who coached the defense all season? Don't see it happening though. Auburn can and will most likely find a better candidate.

I agree just when TU gets going good they lose the source of the winning streak, wonder who the next joke will be they put in that will stink at coaching! How sad but you know these coaches all about the money honey! And I do agree Tulsa has no concept of pro sports or anything different they would rather go to the mall or to the nearest liquor store! SO SO SAD
