Neighborhoods Considering Speed Humps

Stop wasting material for speed bumps and fix the _ucking steets!!!!

That was supposed to be streets.

Speed humps are a waste of money and a real problem for fire trucks and ambulances.

You put one in my hood & I'll get the Bobcat out & rid myself from them I feel One of my cars is so low there are places in Tulsa I can't go... I feel as though this is discrimination against them.

Speed humps are not the answer. They slow emergency response, and when seconds count, you want a quick response. But the best statement that I heard from a cop was, look in a mirror and tell yourself you won't speed in your neighborhood. That just might stop speeding altogether.

Not to mention the 25mph speed humps they put up are built so wrong you can't go 10 over them in Broken Arrow. Guh.

Well they put one in my neighborhood and it does seem to have slowed traffic down but man is it noisey when someone doesnt see them until its too late. I cant count how many times I have seen ford rangers and other very light vehicles get some air time :) But I guess after the first time they pay better attention the second time (Unless they dont value their car)

I live outside of Bixby in semi Rural Tulsa county and it is a drag strip in front of my house. I have made numerous calls to Tulsa County but they dont want to hear it. We called for a burglary one night and 3 hours later a deputy showed up. He apologized because there are only 4 deputies on duty at night for all of Tulsa county. Also we are only 300 yards out of Bixby and they will not talk to us.

Speed humps are what rabbits do.

If people would just SLOW THE CRAP DOWN this wouldn't be a problem. I'm all for speed bumps-bring 'em on-I'm sick to death of drivers whizzing down my residential street as if they owned it.

sorry but the speed bumps in my neighborhood deter speeding greatly and i appreciate them. the ones in broken arrow are set up to were you can go right over them if your not speeding. if you are speeding you jump and bottom out. its what you deserve if your speeding. and come on, its oklahoma, raise your car back up to where its supposed to be and get over it. to expect lowriders to not get damaged in tulsa is just ridiculous.

I prefer slow humps, but whatever.

Speed bumps would be great if you could really go over them at the speed limit. But if you hit one in the dark, when you can't see it, over 5 miles an hour, you might as well plan on BIG car repairs.

Its to bad they didn't post a link on where to request these at for our neighborhoods. I'd PAY to see these little brats faces when they realize they can't fly thru here anymore. Those of you who think they're not helpful are dead wrong. Just 3 weeks ago some 16 year old brat turned his Mustang sideways and landed in the NEIGHBORHOOD PARK where MY children play because he was driving WAY to fast. I watched the whole thing and I LAUGHED when he ran over the fire hydrant sideways and broke his precious car. Idiots. If you would drive like normal people then you wouldn't have to worry about speed "humps". They are all clearly marked and wonderful little tools!!

Poetic justice huh? Mommie and daddy will replace it but if mom and dad keep getting a new mustang every week sooner or later they will go broke :)

People saying things like that is how Hitler got started. I like the way my OLD truck looks lowered 4". If you don't like it, don't look. I hope they put several of these on your street & then see how you like it when the ambulance has to go 20 miles per hour to get to your sorry a$$

I put out traffic counters on streets to see if they qualify for speed humps at citizens request...(99% dont ever pass)
and people will fucking cut the tubes. i am so sick of people cuting those tubes

If you havent guessed i work for city of Owasso

This year 3 out of 4 traffic counters got tampered with,
Next year I will personally watch those traffic counters and take pictures of ANYONE i mean ANYONE THAT TRIES TO MESS WITH THEM AND I WILL TURN THEM IN TO THE POLICE,
I hope to catch someone in the act

Luckily there are traffic counters out there that dont use tubes and the data is unable to be tampered with,

one time someone stole a traffic counter...i dont know why, you cant sell them if its got the city name on it.
An will just buy another one "more of your taxpayer money spent"
