Lets see did tulsa really need a new arena could we have used the money to work roads or how about emergancy service folks taking there patrol cars home or using them to run out and get groceries maby that money for the wasted fuel could have been used to help fix roads or how about all the cars truck that get used by state services that some one the folks could use there own car like the rest of the hard working people

The tax dollars we paid to maintain the roads has been spent on other things besides what that money was intended for, that is probably a long list and not just one Governors fault. The roads are in such poor shape and have been getting worse for too long. The plans they propose now will only put a band-aid on them we will never be able to catch up.

Since the deal is that we get highway funds from the government as long as we keep the drinking age at 21... do we get to change it to 18 now since it won't matter?

So what happened to the Tax money for "Fix the Roads" that was passed over 5 years ago. Where did the money go? And what happened to all the other taxes that were supposed to go to the current projects that was being collected over the past 30 years.... could it be Saleries and pay raises? hmmm I want a refund..... The money I "HAD" to give on taxes for roads didn't do anything. I want my money back.

Wouldn't it have been better to fix the roads and bridges first instead of building an arena downtown and a new ballpark. At least everyone could enjoy the smooth roads but not everyone can afford tickets and the expense that goes with it.

So if the car tags r for the roads.. where does that money go?? If not for the roads, then y do we have Car tag renewals?? Don't tell me the tribal tags have caused this, because the tribes will put a road in where it is NEEDED, Hectorville, Kellyville, no state money to fix them. But u if I dont renew my tag, I get a ticket, to help that cops salary!

85% of the State's Highway Trust Fund comes from the Federal Govt, which is more than what other states have in theirs. Gee, I wonder why that is? Just more money trickling down into the politician's pockets and not being used for what it was intended for.

I've been driving to OKC a lot lately, and the roads are way better. Perhaps Amber is right about the favoritism with the state capitol!

At least I'll get to enjoy it more soon when I start putting my OKC Thunder season tickets to good use!
