This pickup truck was still driving down the road after it/he hit another person?? It doesn't look like that truck would make it too far in the condition depicted in this photo?!?!

No, just one person then the center median wall then on down the road they went. Driver would most likely not be at fault if they would have stayed put. Has to be more to their reasoning for leaving the scene.

Almost makes me wonder if there is not a whole bunch more to this story! In any case, sad for all those involved.

Gruesome. People were stopping and I called 911 thinking maybe it was a motorcyclist who had crashed. the truck was long gone.

Otherwise, there would have been lights in that area. I can't imagine why someone would be out on the highway like that unless their car broke down. What a tragic way to perish. RIP

RIP You have good points here. I just know sometimes the construction crews do work at night. I was just thinking that could have been a possibility. As for lights in that area, I don't think that would have mattered much if this guy was in fact drunk. And my thought on that is he was. I'm with you on the car/truck broke down if the construction crews weren't there.
osufan Tulsa, OK	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #18 Sep 3, 2010 usually the driver or drivers involved if alcohol mentioned. i get that from the stories that end up in Tulsa World or here. have to figure trying to drive that wreck down the highway and leaving the scene. if he was sober and stayed he would not have been arrested because another person walked illegally across the highway or along it.
