I guess you should do the herioc thing and be intelligent enough to turn the key and take it with you. Especially at the busiest store in town in the middle of the night. doesn't get much dumber then that.

why was the boyfriend released? obviously he knew
what she was up to, for him to pick her up after
she jumped out of the truck. was he following her
the whole time the owner of the truck was attempting
to get his truck back? I'm glad she got caught.

Here we go again with another guy not giving any thought to the consequences before he acts. This was not an heroic move. It had the potential of being a deadly act and innocent bystanders rather than parked cars could have been the victims. And I wonder what the owners of the two parked cars are thinking today?

Maybe his truck was a piece of junk and wouldn't start if he killed his engine. Give him a break.

Of course they're wondering who's gonna buy the movie rights and what will be their cut....

If it's that big a piece of junk it shouldn't be on the road. Maybe you shouldn't smoke that stuff.

He should be able to leave his truck anywhere running or not and others should leave his property alone. It wasn't that ladies to take if the police would let us go back to the old ways of the world that girl would've got her ass kicked the old fashioned way and then next time she would think twice about what she puts her dirty ass hands on.

Why are you people criticizing the victim? At least he did something about it.

I agree with this. My son's bike got stolen out of our yard and I was told that we should have chained it up. WHERE do we begin to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Where is the old rule of "IF IT AINT YOURS- DON'T TOUCH IT". My daddy hammered that in my head and if I didn't listen, he reminded me with a hammering on my backside. I don't care if he left his truck running- that was NOT an invite for someone to jump in and drive off. I warm my car up in my driveway in the mornings- THAT IS NOT AN INVITE FOR MY NEIGHBORS TO DRIVE IT TO WORK.
IF IT AINT YOURS DONT TOUCH IT!! it is THAT simple!

Kudos to Alonzo. He went after that crazy girl not knowing if she was armed or not. That's some true bravery. But at the same time, yes it was stupid for leaving it running. No matter what time of the day, you hear about cars stolen everyday. The police warn us constantly not to do this. On the other hand, the boyfriend shouldn't be let go. Isn't there some kind of law that he can be thrown under for like assisting her in the stealing of the vehicle and driving her from the scene?!

i agree.. if its not yours dont touch it.
i had an animal control officer in my house over a dog issue and he stole my cell phone right off the top of my tv in my own home in front of me. i followed him outside and retrieved the phone (what did he think i was an idiot) and i called the cops. i found out that he is not only an animal control OFFICER but also a reserve police OFFICER and i was told by the cop the responded that i got my phone back what did i want. that he was an officer and they would talk to him but they couldnt promise me that anything would happen. how can you trust anyone in this world if you cant trust an officer of the law.

If someone did get hurt it would not be his fault it would be the girl and her boyfriend (who should be charged also) we DO have a right to stand up for ourselves. your so wrong!!!!!!!!

There will constantly be losers out there trying to take advantage of hard working people. Kudos to Mr. Johnson - too bad the thief wasn't killed in the process. At some point, she'll be back on the streets doing it again.
