Asarco protests attempt to withdraw Grupo Mexico execs as witnesses

A last minute decision not to call Grupo Mexico's top officials to the witness stand got attorneys for Asarco LLC fired up this morning and they demanded that CEO German Larrea be ordered to appear.

....Houston defense attorney Casey T. Wallace told the judge the withdrawal of the three witnesses was a "strategy decision."

Tomorrow we will see if Judge Hansen "kicks ass" and tells the Mexican mafia to forget about playing games and get up to Texas for this important trial . Must be very afraid of being questioned by lawyers for Asarco . That's the company that they stripped and then put on the road to bankruptcy .
