White Rats Pop Up in Toilets

Eww I'd be running, or climbing on a chair

If they are swimming through the sewer, they are not gonna be white for long !!!!!

They were motivated by the book called Who Moved My Cheese.

Beats the snakes crawling out of the toilets in Indonesia.

They were probably dumped by scientists,white rats(albino) are not wild,they are domestic,i know i have one,they are pet's and highly intelligent and very friendly,they were dumped! sad that people see rats as ugly,sure i understand that the wild ones are nasty,the Albino white pink eyed rats are used in research,because of their sense of surroundings,smell and the fact they are the kindest and easy to adapt to people and they are not mean...sorry i have a soft spot for rats,they are kind if treated that way,my rat "talief" is loved by many children,i take him to the hospital to the peds unit where he is the most popular pet of the week,he loves everyone! Rats get a bad rap from movies and from the new york life...Domestic anything is way different than wild..wild cats,dogs,pigs...if you give any animal love and attention they give back!!

"Toilet-surfing" rats... LMAO. This is kind of weird though, yesterday there were all those dead birds in Texas, and now there are rats in the sewers in Arizona... almost like they are trying to escape from something.

Glad to hear you had a nice holiday! Mine was nice and peaceful. I wasn't on for a while either because of the holidays... been busy reaping the benefits of holiday gift certificates! Although, after shopping this past weekend, I discovered some moron decided to literally run across my car from the hood, over the top (which is a converible) and off the trunk. The jackass bent the frame in the top, so now I have to have that fixed. Other than that, I'm doing great! I'm going to try and check out your website today.

I have to run for a little bit, a couple people are having computer problems...

A hospital lets you bring in a rat, with all the diseases they are capable of transmitting. Do you have a USDA permit for possession and display of mammals. A relular vet to check him for transmissible diseases? Believe me I've done this work, if you don't you are in violation of Federal law in the least, maybe state law as well. And I can't imagine a hospital ignorant enough to allow you to do this. There are no labs dumping rats, get your head out of Peta cartoons and Captain Planet. Pet shops might, or someone was breeding them and they escaped. What planet do you live on? I have nothing against rats, just ignorant people spewing horesh!t.

In order to bring animals to a hospital or facilitry you need to have a Companion Animal association. There are guidelines. The animals have to be regularly vet checked and the keeper licensed with the USDA and regularly inspected.Certain animals are usually not allowed because of the danger of disease, rodents are on that list, domestic or not. The possibility that a wild rodent could enter the keeper's home at night, climb atop the cage and infect a captive rodent through feces or urine is very high. Kids in the ped unit often have compromised immune systems, allergies, asthma, so mammals are usually frowned on to begin with. I wanna know what hospital so my kid NEVER goes there.

BTW. rats used in research usually run from 90- to several hundred dollars apiece, so 'scientists are not dumping them. They have to be accounted for and if disposed, have to be disposed of properly, records are kept and checked, frequent inspections. I know the rest of you aren't as ignorant as this one poster, but I just had to get that info out there. See what watching TV does to your mind?

Dang, now that I've read the whole thing, it is possible that the resident animal rights students have been stealing the rats from the university and 'freeing' them. Surpirsed they didn't bomb the labs, they often do.
