No improvement. Your comment is silly. The opponent was Kelly, the weakest candidate for office I have ever seen. Even the rabid around SV did not turn out to support him. The truth is the voter turn out was so low that had the faithful turned out to support Kelly he would of won easily. It was the voters in Tucson that carried the day for Barber. Even though Kelly won the Rep. primary he dropped out of the next race because he has no support.
