Venezuela rails at Exxon asset freeze "terrorism"

“For a long time we have been denouncing Exxon Mobil as the typical multinational, U.S. company that has tried to attack oil producing countries”

By Brian Ellsworth

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela accused Exxon Mobil of legal "terrorism" on Friday after the giant U.S. oil company won court orders freezing $12 billion of the South American oil supplier's assets in a dispute at the heart of a worldwide tussle for control of natural resources.

Venezuela's oil minister Rafael Ramirez downplayed the rulings, reassuring investors they had little impact on the supplies, operations or cash flow of the state oil company, PDVSA, which he said has about $100 billion in assets. Read more

He said she said. Its fuuny Exxon profits $10 billion a quarter yet Venezuela total assets $12 billion. The way I see it is Exxon did not agree to the terms of contract.

You are seeing it wrong. Exxon held up their end of the agreement, Chavez didn't.

What's wrong with profits? Isn't that what you want for yourself broke farmer? How are those government subsidies you've been getting? Pretty nice heh?

government subsidies do me no good I don't own the land. Now back to Chavez. How can Exxon raise prices saying it cost more money to get the raw crude from Chavez but only pay Chavez 1980's contract agreement price per barrel? I like the price of Chavez diesel it is half the price of Exxon.

Well, you need to renegotiate broke farmer! My farmer gets all the subsidies from my family's farm land along with all the money from the crops. He pays us a certain amount per acre.

I'll have to do some research on the contract price's Exxon agreed to with Venezuela. Could you give me the source of your information on this?

Well you do things differently in Connecticut then. In South Dakota and other states, the farmer who rents the land gets the subsidies.
