When are WE, the United States, going to open up our OWN oil fields again, begin pumping and refining our OWN oil again, and tell the rest of the world to FO?

The reason is -- our remaining supply compared to consumption is not all that good and China that equals now in oil consumption is even less. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0872964.html |

Were too afraid well run out of oil. And why dont we bring in all the cars that run on other things. A friend of mine made a truck that runs on the Air! if we can do that why dont we mass produce it? because the govermont would lose way too much money in oil!

Whenever we're too desparate to depend on others. That still would suck if Chavez cut off our oil, seeing that's where a majority of our oil comes from.(IT'S NOT THE MIDDLE EAST, SO STOP ASSUMING THAT!) |

Maybe we will send Cong Dellahunt and Joe Kennedy down there to negotiate with him since they are his pals. Next thing is Mexico will cut off our oil supply. Maybe being in the dark and not being able to drive their Mini Vans the Moonbats might wake up. Remeber the gas lines in the 70s, well they might be coming back on longer. I still think there will be achance I will get hired as line sitter in these lines. I can read and make money at the same time off of these MOONBATS.

sometimes people think of current events instead about future populations and also their needs for fossil fuel energy 50-100-150 years ahead in this country,I would rather us to use up fuel reserves that the other countries have than to start errasing our fossil fuel inventories here in the states,it has been calculated that 1/3 of world reserves has been used up in the last 60-75 years, the United States is the biggest user, another thing for the people that bitch about this country regardless of who is in the presidential office, if you don't like it, just go somewhere else and complain, Chavez is looking for a few good sorry Americans !

Ask your congress person where the 800,000+ barrels average per day form the alska north slope are going! Depending on their party affiliation the answer will vary. Rest assured it's not being used to reduce the price, or our depedence on foreign oil, but somebody in america is getting rich!

Oh crap another world leader just bad mouthed bush. Looks like the warmongers will have to rethink invading Iran for a little while, we have a new horrible dictator we have to wipe off the face of the Earth. I wonder how long before they accuse Chavez of having WMD's and harboring terrorists?

It's especially not that good when all the oil we pump from through the Alaska Pipeline goes straight to Japan. |

There will always be enough fuel to keep the White House warm, though. |
The environmentalists have filed thousands of lawsuits to stop oil exploration, oil drilling, oil refineries in the US for decades. They use our own laws, our own courts, and unlimited left wing dollars to drag us down and handicap us so the rest of the world can surpass us in every way. The country has to be dragged into the depths of an economic depression before the socialists can seize the government during crisis and confusion. To environmentalists/socialists/l eft wing liberals, capitalism and big oil are the enemy. |

It also is not Venezuela, in November 2007 they exported 1.227 million barrels per day. Canada is the primary exporter to the USA 2.431 million however Saudi Arabia with 1.620 million barrels per day is the second largest exporter. Venezuela is well down the list behind such countries as Mexico and Nigeria. What people do not understand the crude oil that comes from that country is of poor quality and the USA has most of the refineries in the world that can break in down into a usable product. |
,...When the price of oil goes to $150 ,..Bush & his pals will start selling their reserves,..Their oWn ! |
|
|
we pay $4.60 a gallon up here
In th U.K. they are paying twice that which is over $9 bucks a gallon And it's even worse in some European countries You Americans have had it too good for too long,You should come into the real world |

I will share with you all a little known fact about oil in Colombia and George Bush. I was in Bogota last June when he arrived in his speeding caravan of flashing lights and sirens. I offered him my customary single finger salute as he drove by to meet with Uribe on the Free Trade Agreement. What is to follow is what is not known to most in the world but known to me. My brother-in-law attended that meeting and has met with Bush two other times once in Brazil and the last time in Wash D.C. regarding this agreement.
The reason Bush is so adamant about Free Trade with Colombia is because he is now the proud owner of a major oil field about the size of a small state he purchased for pesos on the dollar. It was property owned by the country and sold to him by Uribe. You will not find any documentation to back that up however what you can find is Colombia's untapped oil reserves are some of the largest in the world. Only the 50 year war is stopping production. Much of the funding to end that war is from the taxpayers of the USA under the term foreign aid Iraq is 1st, Colombia is second. Is it really all about drugs? You make the decision it is your money. |

In a court of law this is what's known as "heresay". I'm no big fan of Bush but your story offers absolutely no details or evidence to reinforce its alleged authenticity. |

It is also common knowledge he did the same handshake, wink type exchange when he was in Brazil with soybean property, free trade and ethanol. He owns a sizable chunk of that country as well. My family is pretty well connected in that part of the world. Just stating something I know to be true. You can believe or not, does not matter to me. You want to call it "heresay" so be it. |
