I was in Venezuela two months aga, i love it. great beaches, great people, great food, i had a great time. let me tell you both people pro and against chavez are wonderful. i think you guys talk to much, Venezuelan love to party, work and party. great people, all are mis panas, it does matter what they believe pollitically speaking.
it seems chavez has at least 50% of support among the population. you can talk to the taxi driver who loves him and then go to the mall and hear someone talk ship about it. it is a good democracy where everyone is very political, people are bot afraid to say what they think publicaly. so i really had fun even though i was working. I wana come back asap

I hope, Chaves will succeed. Step by step, getting information, analising it, advising with economists (surely, except CIA "economists").
Strong leader, in a little time he will overcome insidiousness.

Yeah sure he won, its was what, 90 something percent. OK, I am 100% that people are voting out of fear, not choice.
No.

Poor, under-educated people will vote for him all-day-long! His WELFARE system is awesome!

Don't skirt the facts, I know a LOT of people that truly believe he is a fabulous crusader! The ANSWER!... but none of them make $5000 a year! The guys that work for me making $450 BsF (official exchange =$209) for 2 weeks... or about $5225 per year are anti-Chavista.

B U T... since $5000/yr is lower-middle class, ie. 2-income couple is doing OK, you have to realize

There are Millions and Millions of people living in RANCHOS, like in the picture above, and it's NOT pretty... do a few more picture searches on
Ranchos Caracas
and realize these are the people that are proud Chavista voters.... and there's a lot of them!

What’s your definition of a CIA economist?
