I'm sure FRANCE will be very happy to welcome Chávez this week.

Maybe they can return the favor!

Seeing as I work with World Traveller (OK he's not as smart as me, he can't spell traveler correctly)...we have traveled to many countries installing technology-related hardware, and he is from the US and me from Germany, we rather enjoy international politics. I think given what we've seen and experienced working together, dbd_abad would be particularly well suited as the Venezuelan Ambassador to the US. Being so knowledgeable of US, Venezuelan and international politics (look-out Chavez... maybe he wants your job... Oh, and he speaks ingles, a lot better that you!)

SO nice you care about the dead mans family...
The journalist that wrote this possibly thought the city of La Guaira was also the area, province, or state name. This shows you are also of Pirate Mentality! You should be a reporter...so flawless in your skills. His death is not a LIE, it is a tragedy for the people that knew and loved him. More likely the intelligence you think you have is a lie to yourself.

"Women and children were among 15 people killed in an attack wednesday involving US-led forces in a pakistani village near the border with Afghanistan..."
The dead of a french citizen in La Guaira is an unfortunate incident... but how do you feel about those 8 children killed by american forces in Pakistan, what kind of animals can do this to women and children? their death is not a lie and is a greater tragedy for human kind!

I agree. What's your point. You make an issue over the geographical knowledge of a reporter, and belittle a murder. I don't hold YOU responsible for Venezuela. Why do you verbally accost me for actions of the US. I am not a US citizen, but have spent time there, and in 40 or more other countries as well.

His point is i believe, that there's a media attack against Chavez and Venezuela and you and World Traveler wish i think are the same person, are part of it. You can lie all you want to the ignorance of the must of the people in this forum, but not to us. All the bad thing happening right now in Venezuela are the product of 40 years of destruction of a country and i think that you know that and we need a lot more than 10 years to fix it and rebuild it. "VENEZUELA WAS A LOT WORSE BEFORE CHAVEZ" is getting better little by little even with the interference of the international ultra right media the CIA old tricks and the Venezuela opposition wish don't give a shit for Venezuela , all they care is for a good government position so they can go back to what it was before, every thing for me nothing for you. In this corrption, a lot of Chavistas are involved too 'cause remember that there was a 40 years training and corruption in Venezuela is a live style.

I am not a little Chavista, I am Chavista and yes i didn't like what was going on in Venezuela, that's the reason that i left but i left 8 years before Chavez and Chavez is the reason that i'm planning to comming back in a couple of years. The only thing that i don't like about Venezuela right now is the crime but that is not new, crime has been always an issue in Venezuela. It's worse now? yes it is, but it is worse now in the whole world.

I agree. Corruption IS a huge issue, not only in Venezuela, but many countries, which include USA and Russia. What is happening in many respects is very positive here in Venezuela, but it is sad to see the corrupt aspects, the anger, and the bully attitude being used here. My colleague (World Traveller) was so very PRO US, until knowing me. I come from what he calls a Super-Structured country, and although I do not choose to be in the the Middle East, many European countries, US or Russia, sometimes it can be the assignment. The problems in Venezuela, many of which are simple to initiate, such as RESPECT for nature and your country and your fellow citizens. Why this REVOLUTIONARY government doesn't SHOW THE PEOPLE of Venezuela and the world IT IS SERIOUS with some programs such as improved policing... not MORE POLICE, but a better POLICE IDENTITY, pollution laws and penalties for infractions, vehicle safety, road repair, an improved prison system, reliable utilities (I have seen some positive talk), and agri-business development. I have only positive desires for Venezuela, but also see that HUGE-Oh is moving real fast with sharp words, weapons and anti-US relations, which bring him a lot of attention, some which is just arrogant, most of which is good for Venezuela. He HAS done a lot for the country, but has also mis-directed a lot of National funds to NON-beneficial relations for the Venezuelan "project".

You are nothing but a little gear in the big anti-Chavez media machine, I don't know if you are gringo but you are pro-gringo for sure. You used the death of this french citizen and suggested that french people could kill Chavez to avenge the crime, let me tell you I will not fall in your trap, you ar acting on behalf of the USA, so I won't waste my time accusing you of anything, I will attack our real enemy: the government of USA.

YES! You and Chavez, have the SAME aggressive, non-diplomatic approach. WHICH, is why Venezuela IS treated as it is, showing no sympathy.

I do NOT act on behalf of the USA. I do not think the USA is worthy that. Bush is the MAJORITY of the reason for their internal failures and those with other countries. At least Chavez has a spine. Bush is a worm.

BUT, I have many friends and colleagues in many countries. The US is worthy of offering it's people a better quality of life than many other countries, and may I also mention, most US citizens have NO knowledge of global politics, or understand how complicated their system is, and what is involved in the services they are offered. In general, EU citizens are better informed and aware of their benefits. Venezuelans, being robbed by their government, before services. Let them take, but at least do it AFTER offering the people basic services and qualities of life. The oil money is misdirected.

And I also repeat:
"You and Chavez, have the SAME aggressive, non-diplomatic approach. WHICH, is why Venezuela IS treated as it is, showing no sympathy."

Your hostile approach is what we Europeans call "Old School".

The problem is, Venezuelan "loose lips" and acts of childish uncontrolled aggression are what compound your "attack of your enemy". Should they escalate to military acts, it will be due to your request. THIS is to me, the problem, your understanding of diplomacy is overshadowed by your immature need to act, quickly, before understanding Pandora.
