Uzbekistan at the present is not a good place to invest, because the country is unbeleivably down.. and many limitations exist.. so save your money..

I have been to Tashkent and also visited the mountain range for what I have seen it is a great country with much potential but it needs much investment and cutting of old red Russian red tape to be open to all tourists. The culture, markets are excellent and the Uzbeks and Russians are just lovely people.
From a Brit tourist who visited in 2005. |

I have been to Uzbekistan on many occasions and I have to say that it has great potential for Foreign Investment, However, it has been a nightmare in terms of getting in touch with the right people. Even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are not interested in assisting which is pretty sad.
