While I was very pleased to see this article about Dr. Jeff Rutgard, it did not surprise me. What does surprise me is the lack of attention this great ambassador of good will gets. Dr. Rutgard has cured blindness in thousands. In Mexico, he has cured blindness in hundreds of poor, relegated to a life of darkness. He deserves a medal.

Jeff Rutgard's blog is http://idoctorblog.com . He doesn't even bother to put his name on it. This humble servant is someone our children should only hope to emulate.

Yes, we all know him in San Diego. I'm hoping more people learn of his full-time philanthropy. Rutgard works "free of charge." Many prayers are said for him each night in Mexico, and many other places in the world. Great article; no surprise.
