Cutting down of salaries by the council of minister is not the solution to economic crisis we have now in southern sudan.Instead it may increase corruption becouse prices of item is every day going up in the market especially in Juba town.this is due to shortage of food items in the market. All the food items are brought from uganda and kenya. In November to december, we are expecting a bag of maize flower to be SDG 160 becouse there is seriouse shortage of food in the suppliers' countries and all of us Sudanese are going to dead with the death of no mercy becouse we don't produce any thing to the market.Workers in south sudan are trying to catch up with the market prices by demanding high pay and embazzles public funds.

hence, if council of ministers wants to cut down salaries, let them encourage foriegn investors to invest in agriculture and also encourage the local former by giving them grants so that they may produce food items to the market. In a free market economy, reducing salary with reduction in supply of goods is creating more harm than solving it. Subsidues to farmers is the best option now than cutting salaries.

I support the idea of salaries reductions, the reason here is that when you look at the ministry of education, always salaries are not paid in time especially in the counties like kajokeji, morabo, yei and linya due to lack of funds as a results of paying higher salaries to other ministries.

so to me let the GoSS make some structual measures to atleast make sure that every civil servant receive some paymert for his/her work to increase efficiency regadless of how big or small the amount is but only regular monthly payment
