E-passport: Nigerian Immigration and challenges of collection deadline

I have a friend in Lagos State and she would like to come to the US to continue her studies. I am trying to help her but do not know the procedure for her to get here? I know she needs to apply for a student visa but will she need a passport to do so? Can i sponsor her to come here?

I really wish you lots of luck!!! I have been trying to get my friend here for almost a year! It is not gonna happen! The states will hardly ever grant a student visa nor let us sponsor anyone ever! They have a lottery they can enter there but the chances are slim to none. I am sorry to say.

those that were taking bribe at the passport office does not given chance to the person that want to process it by himself.pls find a solution to this and it is common among the immigration officers at alagbon office.Act on this pls.Thanks.

please i want to ask if any one know's why you should give bribe to an immigration officer for a passport,is that not too bad of them?
dem go say make you pay #25,000.00 for fast proccesing and #16,00.00 for normal proccesing.
i begggg make una tell dem say no be sooooo.

even the passport suppose to be at least#5,000.00 to every nigerian..

i have gotten my e-passport but my old passport is still valid till 2010.do i drop the old passport and use the new one or wait for the old to expire first before using the new on.i need a reply pls
