Islamism fears kill Dutch "Gay Mohammed " display

I guess gays in the States and Europe must be fully supporting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that are meant to bring democracy to the Middle East.

Afterall, it is not in Muslim countries that gay rights might even have any expression. And gay rights will certainly become a thing of the past in Europe when Muslims become the majority there around 2050.

So they have a real interest in supporting the war efforts waged against Muslim countries.

One needn't necessarily say that so much as that rights for all human beings to be as they were born are a clear, unequivocal and inarguable thing.

The woman in the article has a point. The "caving to demands" must stop, or else ya know what? We can all *stop* pretending that we stand for any sort of freedom and safety by continuing to act as if there's reason to be "quaking in our boots" the moment some extremist threatens everyone.

I can't wait, cannot wait for some leader in one of these countries to stand up and *really, really* start being sensible and tough about this, explaining that just as you have *your* beliefs, well, ya know what?, we have *our* beliefs, and since you say you have the right to live by *your* beliefs, then by logic, we have the right to live by *our* beliefs, and if you're gonna keep threatening everyone, you're going to *increase* the case *for* the types of prejudices that are now being decried in law enforcement. You have two choices, start acting like sensible, civil human beings or those prejudices could become so bad that they will be codified into law. This is not about some "terrorist group winning"; all you need is one nut and they can *bomb* half the planet into uninhabitability. What *must* happen is, in the final analysis, to hope that people see sensibility, to help them see sensibility, and then, when all else fails, to do what human beings do actually do, although so many are loath to admit it: to go to greater and greater and more extremist and extremist lengths to *force* people to see that at the very least, they *must* leave others alone and leave them to their own lives. Period.

Because think about it. Think about someone whose convictions are as strong as those of the terrorists. Ask yourself: If things get so extremist that they are making clear that they (the terrorists) won't obey the law and don't care about the law *or its consequences*, what, by logic and human nature, is the first thing that's gonna go?

You got it.

The *other side's* adherence to the law, as well. The people against the terrorists will get far, far more extremist than they are now, secretly murdering them, drowning them or shooting them in the face, before they will cave into this. And then you'll get juries glad to acquit them, whether on technicalities or not. Don't be so sure any type of extremism will win: The reason history changes so drastically and so often is that someone is *always* willing to stand up to that extremism -- and *to go down with the ship*. And when someone has nothing left to lose and stands up against extremists, that person standing up against them becomes -- just as well -- a very, very dangerous individual indeed.

Disrespecting a Prophet of God has nothing to do with standing up to extremism.

These 'terrorists' go against the teaching of God when they kill innocents, as well as themselves. Islam does not teach this, the media does. This disrespectful 'artist' adds to my personal anger against the 'freedom' of the West - but it is Islam itself that is holding me back from attacking in like these 'terrorists' do.

The further I get from Islam, the closer I would come to killing.
