1 As a matter of fact I hate weed and have for years and years..........I was also dead set on locking up everyone that used pot or hard drugs........guess whats happened since the smoking bans came down......People across the country are rethinking their stands on the issues. I for one know the diference smoking tobacco DOES NOT MAKE YOU HIGH........smoking pot or hard drugs does.Thats why tobacco is the sociall acceptable smoke of choice. Tobacco smoke harms no one and we have 100's of years of its use to back that up. Now peoples perceptions on pot are changing not because of its mind altering ability but because when they banned tobacco people took that as a direct assault on their rights liberty and free choise. The pot has been stirred more with psudo-science study claims by the progressives. Now people are thinking ''wait why convict a pothead when we are getting criminalized for tobacco''. The people now sit and scratch their heads and wonder what went crazy and insane for this crap to happen.its called the 2006 elections, thats what happened liberal progressive got in control and the entire political atmosphere changed in a short 6 months.....smoking bans popping up everywhere''prohibition'' and it didnt make anyone happy or healthier.......the times of today are becoming a carbon copy footprint of post ww1 america prohibition times......only at a much hastened pace. The only thing that has happened and changed in the last 18 months is the liberal progressives won congress and the economy immediatly went south, gas, housing, food, prohibi tion. These are all directly related to democrats and their policies. prior to the 06 democrat win we had a stable market and stable oil prices we had no ethenol problem depleting the corn markets and causing world price increases on food.So yes indeed we have a marker for when everything went to he.ll The people will rise against this and quickly if stabilization of economics and freedom are not restored.......this is not the govmnt people voted for.........check congresses approval ratings. |

2 Studies that show secondhand smoke is safer than OSHA permissible exposure limits may help pre-empt every state smoking ban enacted Mark Wernimont May 29, 2008 Air quality test results by Johns Hopkins University, the American Cancer Society, a Minnesota Environmental Health Department, and various researchers whose testing and report was peer reviewed and published in the esteemed British Medical Journal......prove that secondhand smoke is 2.6 - 25,000 times SAFER than occupational (OSHA) workplace regulations: http://cleanairquality.blogspot.com/2007/11/j ... http://cleanairquality.blogspot.com/2007/04/b ... http://cleanairquality.blogspot.com/2004/04/a ... http://cleanairquality.blogspot.com/2006/02/a ... http://cleanairquality.blogspot.com/2008/03/b ... All nullify the argument that secondhand smoke is a workplace health hazard. And the fact that OSHA has permissible exposure limits (pel) for the components of secondhand smoke means that OSHA federal regulations pre-empt states smoking ban laws. this means these outdoor bans are as rediculous as the inddor bans.....science has proven SHS harms no one.......... |

1 Hey, it's "for the children." Don't want those stoned teens in Amsterdam to see a pack of Marlboros on the table. |
