USS Missouri heading to shipyard for makeover

He won't.
Plenty of Republicans did though, it was retired because they wanted to replace it with their super DDX Destroyers that were complete pork filled failures that weren't even wanted to begin with.

If the marines ever have to do any beach landings in the future they will have almost no real artillery support.

steel for big mo was made in pittsburgh and bethlehem pennsyvania. now bethlehem pa. has steelmaking museum. japan won economic WWII. may U.S.S. ARIZONA should be raised at pearl harbor and sold to asia for scrap to help pay debt owed to japanese.

Funny in memories eye...the Second ave."L" trains were sold to the Japs just prior to Pearl Harbor!

The talent ,technolgy from the steelmills Of America won the war,heavy industry,our autoindustry,ECT,......But do not worry..windmills will replaced them!!

Ditto for the Raptor now.....gone!!...

Pearlharbor was a kick in the ass...however it do not apply to the events of 9/11...We will win that war by "Greening"our enemys...LOL!

No this was back when the Republicans ruled Congress. The Navy didn't even need the ships but Congress told them "Yes you do, now give those defense contractors billions of dollars."
(over 10 billion over the past 13 years) And they are only building 3 now, each which costs 3.5 Billion.
