License To Bicker: FYROMacedonian Number Plates Raise Greek Ire

A photo posted on the Internet that seemed to suggest Greek officials were covering the letters "MK" with "FYROM" on the license plates of FYROMacedonian cars entering the country outraged many in the former Yugoslav republic.

Why is FYROM outraged? Isnt that what they are called at the UN? Why arent they outraged at that? Why dont they complain to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to cross FYROM out of their seating in the UN? they dont seem to complain about the world seeing th plate FYROM but they complain if Greeks see it in the real Macedonia.

Really, why is it not the same? From what I know M stands for Macedonia in FYROM unless it stands for Malakes.

You will never see Macedonia in the UN without FYR before or after it. Its just stuck unto it like a leech.
