Haven't done any short haul flying in Europe for a while, but let me tell you about the big airline that couldn't. AA has added those slender seats to thier 737's. They are nice seats, comfortable, very safe. They now can seat more people on a 737, thereby increasing seat miles without adding acft. These additional people however were not provided with more overhead bin space. It seems the plane itself is the same size. Now there are more people who have managed to deftly avoid the baggage fee being forced to check thier bags. (Free for now) But there is still the seperation anxiety of watching your precious bag being pried from you hands because you boarded last and now have no room. Good luck with that LH.
