Huh? You absolutely made no sense! What's there to be jealous? The US has a $14 trillion economy, China has a $2 trillion economy. China 4 times the US population and can only produce teeny weeny 2 trillion? LOL

Communist China hasn't created anything for this world. Japan and South Korea have produced things for the benefit of mankind while Communist China is just a place for cheap manufacturing. LOL

I'm not jealous of the lack of toilets in Commie China! LOL

You mean the traditions of poverty, brainwashing, and of beating and killing anyone with a view that challenges the CCP Landlords? I never did understand the attachment to THOSE traditions, I will admit.....

Digusted is confusing propaganda for real information again.
Didn't China Daily say in 1974 that true "Communism" would be achieved by 2005?
They were way off with that.
The only way China will reach that level of development is if it frees itself of the parasitic Communist Party!

so since China has four times as many people than the USA they should win four times as many medals at the Olympics...?
USA has long had the biggest economy in the world. If someday we become # 2 or # 3 big deal!
given China has the worlds largest population, the fact that China was not the largest economy long, long ago shows how unbelievably behind China has been... We should instead ask how does China not have the biggest economy in the world?
China probably will have the biggest economy someday--good for you

China had the world largest economy for over a thousand years till the 16th Century when complacency caught up with the Chinese! Complacency led to backwardness and decline until the new China comes into this century. I can see that this is happening with the US where the complacency and decline are taking place. History repeats itself. No escape. It is a merry go round!

Ok I hear you and actually agree with all you said in this most recent entry by you.

America in general, in my opinion, is in decline. There is a complicated recipe of things causing this.

We just had 4th of July Independence Day here in America right; guess where fire works were invented....at least most people agree where they were invented....China.

America has done many great things over the years but also many mistakes as well. Luckily there are still many good and decent Americans than the bad ones to mind the country. I believe that America and China can be good friends because there are inherently many more shared values than differences. It takes time to build friendship and understanding on both sides. Unfortunately, few vocal, agrogant, ignorant and aggressives ones seem to have hijacked the agendas and make a mess of it. Let's hope that more decent and fair minded American voices can be made and heard!

There are those who doesn't want to see US and China having good relationships. Because if that those, who else can bring down China? Therefore, instead of changing China peacefully, there are those who want to create hostility between US and China so they can profit from it. Sort of like in that move "Sum of all Fears" where the neo-nazis want to playoff US and Russia against each other.

I am glad that China is making so much effort. China seems to definately being to heal old wounds with its neiboring countries.Strong ties with others with definately keep and make China stronger. I'm always glad when another country is coming up and doing well in the world and is looking to amend things and become a influential superpower. Go China. Olympics 0'08.
..........
To those stating about the US and how good it supposedly is doing...
The USA might have a 14 trillion dollar economy but the debt is huge as well....And not to mention, the US is very indebted to china and other countries. The USA needs to use that 14 trillion dollars to payback the money it owes china and others.
I understand those americans who want to be overly patriotic but...when you come out boasting 14 trillion, why not payback the money you owe first to the other countries i.e. China so the children of the USA won't grow up further indebt and have to deal with the problems of the people running america into the ground. So,after you payback the deficit, you can boast "we have this amount of money and we have no debt." That would sound better and stronger. But until then....

I remember before Bill Clinton came into Office we had a debt so huge that I thought it was impossible for us ever to get out. Astonishingly, Bill Clinton erased America's debit and it did not take him long. He was a master with the economy though I do think he had a lot of help from the cold war dividend--much of the money spent on the cold war could now come home

now I am equally amazed to find us so terribly in debt again in such a short period of time, I think it will take us longer to get out of debt now with the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. I hope we do not open a third front in Iran; over the long term I think we could handle it but in the short term it would harm our economy even more, let Israel handle Iran (with quiet backing from the USA?

China has a huge advantage in terms of trade deficit with USA, I don't blame China in that regard but I blame USA--why has USA govt allowed that to happen and why doesn't USA put its foot down to prevent further damage in that regard. The trade deficit favoring China is obscene.

you are right though about debt in USA which was not fully acknowledged previously, USA has huge debt,

I get what you are saying, but it is not China's fault though. I am sure the trade agreement that you speak of, was and is beneficial to both sides but the USA is funding two wars, one of which should never have happended. The war in Iraq is costing the U.S. too much. The people are not buying as much as they were years ago,(though I am sure there are alot of fake surveys out there stating otherwise) and thus the economy and any other trading deals are not working in the USA favor but you can't blame that on the other countries involved. The other country is doing its part ,but the US,with the two wars, isnt, so the agreeement may not be so hot for the USA as of right now,but that is the U.S. fault for the plummit of the economy, but the trade deal is beneficial to both. I agree that I have heard that the deficit did drop sum what in the 1990s but today the deficit is crazy-high.

The only thing I get weary of is, when times get hard in the U.S., it is considered the world's fault or other countries fault. Well...I hope that people do not think that when U.S. has itself to blame for the ecnonmy, but I am not at all trying to bash the U.S.,I live here too, but I just think new leadership and a new approach to the way this country is being run is desperately needed, so we can still have a good stake in the world, but if not....then the U.S. will continue to have stature but not as much influence in this growing world. But, I definalty here where you are coming from on a few points.
