Vietnam, Lao and Cambodia are in very good cooperation. And that is only way to survive. Those leaders knew that so well. Let's make it clear here: No country owns other country. It just a smart way for their country's survival.
Don't you forget:
-Hochiminh Trails ran from Shianookville Harbour, all the way through Cambodia, Lao and back to North Central of VN at "Mu Gia Pass". The lower portion of this trail is called "Shianook Trail".
-Thailand is full cooperation with VN now.
Neighbour countries of this Indochina bloc kew that it's no GOOD to fool around with them anymore!
-Viet might need paper works(visa, passport..) to go to Pnompenh, but Khmers are FREE to go from Sisophone all the way to Hochiminh City or Hanoi, VN. Infact, there are a lots of Khmers patients in Viet Hospitals.

VietNam, Laos and Cambodia are long been good traditional friend. VietNam and Laos relationship have never been shaken. However, VN and Cambodia fought a fierce battle during PolPot regime. The war was needless but because of outside interfered that caused the war. The Chinese, the CIA and Thai were behind and supporters of Polpot. Since the war ended, Relationship starts reestablishes and more prosperous as time goes by. Let hold hands and build a better Indochina. Viet, Laos and Khmers have been know for nothing and war torn places for so long already.

Back to 1979, Viet Troops had full control of PreahVihear Temples. Thai Armforces were always afraid of Viet Troops even Viet Troops looked skinny, hungry and ugly too! But Thai did know capability of Viet after a quick encouter with Viet at Sisakhet Province, Thailand, opposite of the Temples which resulted losing 8 jets and un-accounted deads. When Cambodia was under full control of Cambodian at the end of 89, Thai took advantage to bully Khmer Troops. It was a good intention when Khmer leaders have strong cooperation with VN. Because Thai knew Vietnamese well! Infact, Hochiminh Trail at first portion is NOT very far from Thai territory!
One more thing, even well-equipped, Thai Armforces is not worth as opponent of ex-vnch. How the heck they have the BALL to confront VN communist Troops?
