Sydney used to be there until indian immigrants grew in numbers. But you won't realise how harmful they are, until they blow up a bunch of buildings again.

When did Indians blow up buildings? If you mean muslims then look across the border to Pakistan - who incidentally hate India's guts, and vice versa.

Look buddy, I'm talking about FACTS. If you look at them, there are more indian immigrants in USA than Pakistanis. So its obvious that indians are causing all the mess and pakistan is being a scape-goat.

I know Queensland in general has a reputation as Australia's "deep north", and is supposedly riddled with rednecks. I lived there for a couple of years and spent time in Brisbane, Southport/Surfers, Gladstone and Rockhampton. The only redneck racists I saw the whole time were a bunch of drunken street kids in Surfers mouthing off to Asian tourists. Cops had them in five minutes. Where exactly are all these racists? It's a serious question.

What the hell's going on in Adelaide and Brisbane?? That's a big gap. Oh yeah. I just saw all these cities listed on my MSN home page on Monday. I was surprised at how Germany & Switzerland took over the list. Really thought there would be more of Australia or more in the States.

Another meaningless list.
In reality, USA has the best, most beautiful cities on the planet. Nothing like life in American suburbia, anytown USA - wealthy, clean, neat well manicured lawns, beautifully tended gardens, friendly people - the whole package. Love it - Gods own country.

From the article... "Cities are rated across 39 areas considering such ``quality of life'' factors as political and economic stability, human rights and personal freedoms, pollution, crime rates, health standards and the cost of consumer staples. Access to education, housing and entertainment is also considered alongside public transport and traffic congestion, plus natural factors such as climate and the record of natural disasters." This factors would be considered for the entire population of a city, not just those who get to live in gated communities. Admittedly America would do well under a lot of these criteria, but perhaps would fail to compare to other cities in terms of access to health care, pollution, crime rates. Portland and Seattle always manage to top lists as very livable cities in America - but they seem to be exceptions. Would your descriptions be true of entire American cities like Detroit, Chicago, Miami, LA, NY, Washington? Life will always be good if you're rich enough.
