The great Pelasgian oracle of Dodona was in this country (probably near the Lake of Yanina ), and the apparent antiquity of the Albanian alphabet, the philological peculiarities of their language, and the character of some of the words, are in favor of this view.


The two main Albanian tribes are divided by the Egnatian Road , as the Illyrians and Epirots were in antiquity, and this adds to the probability that the same races inhabited the country then as now

CONCLUSIONS OF THE PELASGI AND THEIR MODERN ALBANIAN DESCENDANTS

From philological proofs, the authors deduce that the modern Albanian is essentially the older Pelasgic.

The Pelasgic races, the area they occupied, the language they used, the territories they invaded and conquered are dealt with;

and among other conclusions, it is maintained that at Troy, both the besiegers and the besieged were Pelasgic Tribes.

In the second part, the Homeric poems are traced up to Pelasgic effusions, originally sung by the bards attached to various chiefs:

their poems surviving as popular ballads were subsequently collected, collated and translated into Greek.

Traders of the Greek-speaking race are not referred to in the Homeric poems, nor in contemporary histories;

To constitute a good omen, the bird must fly from right to left. Lastly, not to needlessly multiply instances, Aristander predicts that Alexander, who was of the Shqiptar race, would be victorious, because he had seen an eagle fly from the Macedonian to the enemy's camp.(Plut. in Alex., Plin. 17, 25.)

It has been before remarked that the national name of the Pelasgic is Shqiptar — sons of the Eagle.

They were not called them selfs as Albanians!! There is not any written proof even from the same albanophones Greeks of the period of Greek revolution and the sources that you mensioned have not any report like this!!!!!! In fact the Arbanites did not called them selfs at the period of 1821 not even Arbanites!!!Those albanophones cristians populations were calling as Turkalbanians or Arbanites the Muslims Albanians who were their worst enemies!!The hellenize of the language to non Greek-speaking but with Greek ethinc Id population, as you told us before, was something normal as the official language of the state was the Greek and the others dialects, like the Arbanites, the Vlacks and some slavic, were oral Dialects who those people were spoken becide the Greek language too!! Thats why those populations never demanded or asked or even worst angry with the full "hellenize" of the state! Because they consired as they confirm even now,(the arbanites and the Vlachs) that is was very normal cituation from the moment that they feeling Greeks and always were 2 languages speaking populations!!

Its true, we don't want "great albania", it is not our term.
We dont want lands which aren't ours, we dont need.
We want Natural Albania the territories which belong to albanians traditionaly and populary.
