It is amazing to know fedup, that republicans will lie about anything. When this whole nation understands that, the only voters McCain will have left will be msg board trolls.

When McCain traveled to the middle east earlier this year, it was difficult to find a storyline or 30-second blurb about it. Now the Obamarama circus has all the networks accompanying it - like the sleazy sideshow acts they are. What happened to honesty, balance, and professionalism in journalism?
I'm still waiting for the little tin jesus to say the surge actually worked... but I guess the truth hurts too much.
Fellow citizens, please be cautious of anyone who has the support of our enemies and any other world wackos.

Brilliant. Anyone with half a brain will pull the lever for Obama in November after seeing all these braindead right wing troll spammers. I grew up in an America where honesty and open discussion were valued. I have no idea where these people grew up, but they would fit in better in a fundamentalist country like Saudi Arabia than they do in America. Larry, Independent TX voter

Listen, people HAVE GOT to stop being so tit-for-tat over this situation! I'm not blind in the Bush/Republican respect either...I'm not arguing Republican v.s. Democrat! Please see the BIGGER picture! Obama is just a very scary proposition, I feel in my heart that he is involved with some VERY shady people who wish the United States no good at all! I know that we need some changes in our country, but let's really think about this and not just throw the Democrat in office because he represents "Change". I feel in my heart that we'll all be sorry for the "Changes" he, and those who are funding his coronation have in store for us. He has too many controversial and anti-American ties. This guy scares me to no end, I fear whatever entities are pushing him into office...the media are all treating him like a rock star. It's unusual and inappropriate for someone of his age, questionable background and lack of political experience to have NO ONE in the mass media REALLY delving into this guy as they would have any other politician in the past. This guy is being literally "PLACED" in office despite all warnings right in front of all of our faces, just because most don't want "another Republican" in office. I'll say it again, just ask who our enemies want for the next American President-and then vote the other way, McCain is the lever you should pull.

That is strange that they're not digging up every little thing like usual. Good points, you give people something to think about before voting. I respect McCain for his service to the country and all that happened to him, but he is just so much like Bush, he is a scary choice as well. As usual you have to vote for who you think is the lesser of both evils. Maybe if Obama has a better relationship with these other countries we won't be at war with the world. If McCain has the same attitude as Bush (big ego let's attack the world) we could be in for some very scary stuff too.

Here We Go Again wrote: McCain was in Baghdad 8 times while Obama one time, and Obama is getting all the hoopla about one trip. Let's face it. The 2008 election has NEVER been about politics. it has been about popularity and the media. The democtatic nomination started out with the media and party talking about how Hillary would spend her first 100 days. Then Obama started gaining momentum, and she ignored it until he had too much speed and it was too late. The republcans only really backed one candidate from the beginning, so there were no real issues discussed. The candicates and president are selected (not elected) by the elete class of the US through the delegates and electoral votes. The recent elections have showed these systems need to be reworked: 1992 - Perot receives ~18.5% popular vote, yet ZERO electoral votes. 2000 - Election decided in federal courts 2004 - Election almost went to court again. We need to fix the entire system to allow us to have the best possible candidates to be elected by the people.

If McCain has the same attitude as Bush (big ego let's attack the world) we could be in for some very scary stuff too. See, that rhetoric about McCain being just another Bush really isn't all that fair...it's a convenient and brilliant tactic used by the Obama campaign for an easy way to scare those who really don't pay much attention to the specific ideas of a particular candidate...they just follow the popular opinion of the moment, because they just aren't really interested in political issues. Frankly alot of people could care less. So, when it comes time that they need to vote, they're really not that informed, so these are the people who will believe the rhetoric, because it sure sounds good and plausable because we ARE struggling, and we DO tend to blame our President when we struggle, but people really need to see that McCain really doesn't ALWAYS side with Bush on alot of things. Sure, they're basic idologies may be alike because they ARE both Republicans, but if you delve into the specifics of the issues, they differ on alot of things. As far as having a better relationship with other countries, it is my specific fear that he has already established "better relationships" with some OTHER countries, and that's who's funding his coronation. In America, some seem to be blinded from the obvious dangers of Obama's relationships with so many anti-American characters because we are all STRUGGLING to make ends meet-and we feel that we need something new, his "change" rhetoric fits well into our needs right now...but remember, the old saying goes like this..."careful what you wish for, you might just get it".

I have to say, this may be some of the most ridiculous commentary I have ever seen (with select exceptions).
I suppose no more can be expected from posters using handles such as "redneck" and "whitey". Apparently I have been disillusioned into believing that people have developed more deductive reasoning skills and respect, or at least tolerance of others, than what is displayed in this forum.
I'm struggling not to "get into it" and correct the staggering piles of the blatant misinformation. "Why did 'Barry' change his name to 'Barack'?" He didn't,'Barry' would be short for 'Barack' you know, like 'Mikey' is short for 'Micheal', perhaps you're familiar with this premise. Also, being Muslim is a paternal inheritance. His Grandfather was Muslim, therefore by birth he may be, but that does not mean he practices the religion (not that it should be a vehicle for discrimination). It's the equivalent of saying, "your dad was born in Canada, you were born in California, but you are a Canada and more pointedly, can never be an American" it's really quite absurd.
And for scary commentary, McCain's "Bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran" (sung to the tune of the Beach Boys' "Barbaraanne") was horrifying. Clearly, these are facts that would require research that examines both parties. Or, maybe even just the quote of factual data. Or, at the very least, perhaps you could try to represent yourself as educated and informed rather than racist and conspiracy-theory ridden. On the other hand, don't- just keep posting just as you are, the Democratic Party appreciates your continual support by illustrating the attitudes representative of McCain supporters. Thanks for that.
Thinking I should leave now out of free of being stoned to death for speaking out- or is that where you finally draw the line?
