My only problem with Obama's 'tour' is that the liberal media is treating it like the second coming of Christ.

You raise an interesting question: "How ... can we quickly shift troops to fight Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan when they are exhausted from the long effort in Iraq?" It's certainly valid. The follow-up question to Senator McCain might be how we can sustain two fronts with exhausted and overstretched troops.
What the trip really seems to do is neutralize Senator McCain's perceived foreign policy advantage. It's only a perception. The Arizona senator's comments serve only to remind us of the common definition of insanity: "doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result."

test? what test? the only test obama had to pass was in pledging his allegiance to likud -- that's the american idea of thoughtful study when it comes to setting foreign policy -- obama & mccain are both losers, just as americans are losers

You have got to be kidding! I suggest that you listen carefully to the Obama interview with Moran (don't just read the transcript- listen to the actual recording). Can you still say that you feel that Senator Obama is an "artful manager of awkward queries?"

Voting in Obama as commander in chief is equal to giving a baby a loaded gun. He is too inexperienced, too arrogant and egotistical to listen to our expert military chiefs of staff and generals re military matters. Obama thinks he knows what is best about everything. He is intelligent and a silver tongued speaker, but there are lots of intelligent people in the United States and intelligence does not make a great leader. No to Obama, the liar.

Unbelievable! This country is surely on a one-way road to hell if the Obamorrhoids get their way. Been headed that way since the 60's, now their spawn has multiplied to children and grand-children, and is really poisoning the well now. Sure hope there are enough "Silent Majority" types to beat 'em down again this time. They say the average age is increasing, that generally tends toward maturity, if not intelligence, maybe there's some future hope for the nation.

I did hear the recording and did not find him to be awkward. In fact, I thought his answer was quite thoughtful. As an independent, I'm still not sure who I will vote for, but have been more impressed by Obama than I thought I would be.

Obama is showing that he is adept at the myriad intricacies of foreign relations. Although his trip is not a substantial one from a policy point of view, he is demonstrating to the world that he possesses that rarest of qualities that make for a great leader both here in the US and abroad in the world. He listens, he asks the right questions, and he has no hidden agenda. Hopefully the US will come to understand what the rest of the world has already determined.....This man is the new prototype world leader. He is for real.

To Judy, I guess it would be better to leave the fate of this country to a so-called expert that doesn't even know what borders he's talking about. McBush ain't no expert. He's just old and out of touch with the rest of the real world.

I love the "it is ok to meet with anti-American foreign leaders" interactive banner. I didn't saw the paid by McCain thing and press Yes. I hate this Roman Empire mentality, why can't you meet with your enemies? the cold war is a perfect example. I really don't get it. He is trying to keep the cowboy mentality and the fear alive, if we meet with them the country will fall, come on grandpa! Welcome to the age of internet where we all COMMUNICATE.

This morning he condemed the tragic
assault near his hotel. Yet while
he was in Afganhi he did not step up
and speak to HUMAN RIGHTS of the two women who were excuted there.

Does one really become an expert on foreign policy while visiting in one day these countries that we have military forces in?

That is a very good question, about the troops having served 3 tours, and
moving them for another tour in Afganhi....we are stretched thin here
with National Guards fighting fires, and now the upcoming hurrican season.

Although his visit is a first step, that is not good enough for what the global problems of middle east are!

It's absurd just to hear of this perception that John Mccain is more qualified on foreign affairs: Based on what, what are the merits to that claims. I fully agreed with Gen. Clark and i still do. Mcain is a vietman veteran and has served in washington longer than Barack, but that does not make him more experienced. Just look at his voting record, that is proof enough. Obama is doing what great leaders do, he knows how to listen, use all available resources, not rushed to draw judgements without fully reviewing all options, and most importantly he's great at decision making. That's the most vital trait of great presidents: e.g. Lincoln, FDR, JFK, just to mention a few.

CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE,CH ANGE,CHANGE,
Here are a few questions for Osama Obama
What exactly is he going to CHANGE in the USA?
How can we trust someone with TWO (2) muslim fathers?
How can we trust someone who "belongs" to a racist church?
What exactly will he do to combat the islamic threat to the USA and to other countries?
What kind of tax structure does he propose for us?
How will he reform social security?
What does he propose for health care and how do we pay?
What will he do to upgrade and reform our military?
What does he propose for homosexual marriage?
What does he propose for gun control?
What will he do to control illegal immigration, to control the border, to deal with the millions of illegal immigrants in the USA?
What is he doing about the energy problem?
What is his position on drilling for oil in the USA and offshore?
plus one hundred more questions concerning the future of the USA.
