Amelia Island offers a softer point of view

We just had our honeymoon on Amelia Island. It was perfect, beautiful and relaxing. We stayed at the Ritz and golfed and used the spa, it was wonderful.

Well, we're all just so honored that you found some small part of our state that meets your standards there, Stacey. Nice condescending article you have written. We weren't even aware Albany was big enough to have it's own newspaper.

Now, since you took it upon yourself to slam Florida in your opening summary, permit me to do the honors for new yawk: basically, once you can get out of the overpopulated, concrete jungle of new yawk and it's sprawlinglame suburbs, you find scraggly farmland and podunk towns in hills the locals call mountains. Then you'll get to backwater decaying rust belt burgs like Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse, all forgettable. Throw in the falls and a statue, and you've seen it all.

Oh, and BTW, there, Stacey - the only "revolting" people walking around on South Beach are obese blobs with bleached white skin and a holier-than-thou attitude from some irrelevant upstate new yawk town.

Leave it to the Sun-Sentinel to put up a travel story about Florida written by an outsider.
