The Armenian Genocide is a historical fact, just as the American destruction/genocide of the Native Americans is as well. Obviously Turkey must come to terms with this, and after all the propaganda to the contrary, this is difficult. Obviously, turkey used to be inhabited by Greeks and Armenians etc..
.
Things change. Yes Turkey should apologize but that is not the issue here! Sargsyan was correct to invite Gül and Gül was right to accept.
We must make peace, open borders, trade, get rich together. Look at the Georgian ethnic disaster...is that what everyone wants AGAIN for Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijian and the Kurds. Who cares? Federate Turkey and Armenia if you have to-have Kurdish, Armenian, Greek areas where everyone lives together anyway, like in the EU today.
Besides, I have been to both Turkey and Armenia. Culturally they are virtually interchangeable, like it or not. At this point, everyone has been mixed so much: they look the same, eat the same food, have the same customs almost...
Plus Armenian and Turkish have hundreds of words in common even: take orinag/ornek=example; Armenians add "ner" for the plural, turks "ler/lar"; Western Armenians use "gor" as a gerund/progressive form, which most probably comes from the Turkish "-yor" etc..An Armenian Hagop Dilahcar modernized Turkish for Atatürk..
Armenians should move back to Anatolia, Turks should move to Armenia. The Greeks should repopulate Smyrna and Constantinople/istanbul: that is when these cultures were great, before the Kemalists and the Bolseviks and all the rnationalist assholes came into being.
That being said, salaam aleichum, peace to all.
i like it..
you are one of the very few peoples here who thinks along the same lines as i do. except ehe federation part.
intelligence i suppose has no substitutes.

Hey perhaps he is getting ready to acknowledge the Turkish massacre of Armenians! maybe he will get shot, but Anwar Sadat was also a brave leader.

If u imply a genocide recognition by Turkey, I assure you not only you but also your grandchild will not see it in a lifetime.

When you Armenians come to the terms with history by admitting that what had happened was two-sided rather than one, then there will ground for dialogue and understanding. As long as you see your ancestors as the sinless angels who have been persecuted by demon Turks, and as long as you pass it from one generation to the next, it is never possible to completely eliminate the problems between our people.

Your ASAM already declared "panel of historians to decide" idea as a lost case. This only means one thing and i hope you are clever enough to figure it out by yourself. We all have to accept some facts one way or another.

Then why you attacted to our innocient families in Ottoman and led our both nations into today's disscustions. We were very busy with English, French, Italian, Greek and Arabs. How we provoked you that time?

I'm sure that the visit will go fine. And don't worry about the 5000 Turkish fans. Many Turks here think that they will be attacked or harassed...
As all of you Turks discovered in Topix, Armenians ONLY attack when provoked.
I hope that your president will understand this as well during his discussions with our prez.
Gul must be respectful and logical if he wants results.
