Apple, GM, GE, all big supporters of the 'Idiot-in Chief' have built how many new factories in China and employed how many Chinese.

<quoted text> I see the American Dream as only being obtainable when opportunity exists for it to take place, when good public education is available for all, regardless of income level. I don't think hungry infants and children get the nutrition required to reach the best mental development. I only have to look at those parts of the world where hunger is rampant versus developed nations where the mother's prenatal health is valued and nutrition is good.
When I read reports that upward mobility is greater throughout most of Europe than it is here in the U.S., I can't help but be concerned for our children and their futures. I view the polarity of wealth and income inequality, coupled with the segregation of the wealthy from the well-being of our nation as being truly problematic.
Most of your post is nothing more than slanderous mischaracterizations. That seems to be about the best you can do.
here is a little lesson in Nature, maybe u can disprove Natural Law, too.
a rising tide raises all ships, and
an ebbing tide lowers all ships.
for the past 50 yrs, our tide has been going out (out-sourcing, globalization... get it?).
can any one tell me ONE thing our Fed Govt has done to reverse this trend?
I can think of many, many things it has done to either facilitate or excellerate the 'ebbing'. now, it is only natural for the Govt to start preaching fairness. of course, IT is not talking about RAISING every one's standard of living. oh, no, that does NOT concur with an ebbing tide... IT is talking about LOWERING the standard, starting with the amount of wealth the best off of us has. to re-distribute it DOWNWARD to the Middle? NO. to the BOTTOM. which the 'new' Middle will soon become (like the 'new' center, get it?).
Nature is a funny old Bitch... she's not into progressing or changing. her same Laws applied to the former USSR and shall apply to future such societies... where ever they be... even HERE.

<quoted text>How so, Posit? I don't understand what you mean by that, unless you're referring to the fact that pensions are being cut or frozen (some were far too generous), unions have been neutralized, Americans have been displaced in favor of cheaper labor. We're as disposable as used kleenex. The elite would like to shut us up by feeding us fish and blocking us from getting to the lake with our rods and reels in hands - and a shovel for bait. If we make it to the lake, all we'll have is a couple of rocks in our pockets. Good luck catching a fish by skipping one into his head! Well, you never know. Once in a blue moon somebody will get lucky - if they keep throwing rocks in the lake.
The wealthy industrialists have been replaced by the money changers, and they do have lavish homes here and there...and there, etc. Is that what you mean?
What is Romney's plan for fixing it? Will he teach us all how to turn $30,000 into $100 million dollars in a decade with IRAS on steroids? Can he outsource us into a booming economy? Will we all be competing for 1,400 jobs with the Keystone pipeline? Gawd, I hope they pay well, especially for the folks in the midwest who still drive cars to work. Will he send more police into the low income sectors to keep the crazies from preying on and harming everybody who is too hungry to fight back?
Now, I realize that that scenario was pure speculation, but since the man won't get specific and detail his plans for us, my guess is as good as anybody else's, because nobody really know how he thinks he can pull off keeping his promises for the ever evolving and myriad "first day on the job" plans he has - whatever they are. It just depends on who he's speaking before as to what those promises for the first day in office really are. He's like a Cracker-Jack box. I don't know what the surprise is going to be, but I figure it will be broken before we ever extract it from that little foil lined pouch it comes in.
Still, I know that some of you would be exquisitely relieved that a white man sits in the Oval office, regardless of how bad you get screwed or how little of consequence it means to improving your lot in life.
And there it is, the 'race card'. I wondered how long it would take you until you tried to use it. Getting desperate now?

<quoted text>Why don't you expand your horizons and look at the global economic picture. Don't forget to understand that the Republicans promise their base that they'll "take care of them" and just sit tight - don't move 'til we get there. So? They're parked in neutral waiting for an additional $150,000 to spend. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with you, aside from the fact that maybe the plant where you work will be outsourced, because there is no tax penalty either way if you take it off shore and repatriate it at your convenience. Romney says so. Another "day one" task.
No summer will be the summer of our recovery until we get busy educating our children again, including the ones who weren't born to mommies and daddies with trust fund bestowals to pay for their college education and a beamer.
Well, since you played the race card, I'm going to trump you.

Personally I'm sick of trying to educate half-breeds, jbies, and illegals, who don't give a shit about an education. They all want to be rappers, hookers, pimps, and dope dealers anyway. Waste of taxpayers money.

UH, I'm a registered Ind. but will NEVER vote for a democrat like obama, reid, pelosi and a whole host of others. There are a few D's that I actually do agree with on some issues, but they are rare. Not saying I'll vote GOP consistantly either. I'll support the one that is closest to my beliefs. obama's not even on the same planet. Romney wouldn't be my first choice but given the field of candidates for pres, he's the most qualified to run the country better than obama has, comparatively speaking.
consider the choices we have been given in the past Presidential elections... usually just two sides of the same coin. follow that with how each winner performed and u see that they were Progressive and Progressive-lite.
no, our AMERICAN salvation rests where it always has: with the People... in the People's House.
to affect REAL change, we need a TP'er for Speaker as well as MORE TP-type Reps and Sens. look what 40 TP'er Reps did and are doing in this Congress. imagine 100 or 200...

“Rearden. He didn’t invent smelting and chemistry and air compression. He couldn’t have invented his Metal but for thousands and thousands of other people. His Metal! Why does he think it’s his? Why does he think it’s his invention? Everybody uses the work of everybody else. Nobody ever invents anything.”
She said, puzzled,“But the iron ore and all those other things were there all the time. Why didn’t anybody else make that Metal, but Mr. Rearden did?”
Sound familiar?

<quoted text>Obama did say those words, but in context, it’s clear he was referring to infrastructure:
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.
So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we funded the GI Bill. That’s how we created the middle class. That’s how we built the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam. That’s how we invented the Internet. That’s how we sent a man to the moon. We rise or fall together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for president — because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, we’re in this together."

which came first, the Model T and mass auto production or paved road systems?
or, the Wright brothers invention, the heavier than air, powered aero-plane, or airports?
this notion that somehow the Govt is at the root of Man's achievements is backwards , false and evil. the Govt either facilitates some ONE's idea or IT stiffles it, or, IT waits to co-opt it, like their wealth.
the Govt, Military or otherwise, did NOT invent the Internet. some ONE or group of ONES, came up with the idea. the same with our Mission to the Moon, teflon, Tang, etc...
how does Obama explain the poor, disadvantaged kid struggling for years to 'suddenly' make it? or, explain F Douglas telling Lincoln and others in 1865-70, NOT to give the recently freed Negroes forty acres and a mule... to let them be as other free men and allow them to sink or swim on their own merits. Douglas was preaching AGAINST the Govt handouts ONE-HUNDRED YEARS before they became the norm. I don't remember Dr. King demanding handouts or 'fairness', either. I do believe he was asking for simple, Good Old Fashioned American EQUALITY (like Douglas, before him).

I hate having to spoil your nostalgic nonsense, but we are in the 21 century now, can't tell you how to catch up with the rest of us Bubba you have to figure this one out yourself - sorry! I’ll give you an example to contemplate, when the Gov’t built the Oakland Bay Bridge in 1936 at cost of $70 Million, commerce between the San Francisco and Oakland increased way beyond expectations, hundreds of new businesses sprouted up on both side of the bay, so there goes you stupid argument right out the window. It should also be mentioned, conservative naysayers like you and your ilk, fought the bridge with tooth and nail claiming it way too expensive and could not be done due to the impact of turbulent waters, gusty winds and earth quakes – sorry old man you got your head so far up your smelly arse it’s not even funny ...
