Siam is Thailand... Khmer is Cambodia...Khmer Empire belongs to Siam? It doesn't take US or French to figure it out. A 5th grader can probably give the correct answer to the world. Anyway... to live in harmony, the world should have no border.

"He added that since the issue has been raised, he has been proud to see the local community pulling together and displaying patriotic interest in their homeland."
Nothing to be proud of here, Mr.Kim. Unless you think cowards who ditch their own country and talk smack from far away instead of standing firm and fighting for what they think is right is something to be proud of. Me? I think they are something to be ashamed of. Cambodia is a mess in small part because these people ran away from the problems of the country they "love" and who you claim to be "patriots" of. Just so you understand how things work in THIS country, we never made any memorials to the people who ran during the revolutionary war, civil war, or any other one, because we consider them to not be patriots, and we consider them to be cowards. Maybe your backwards view of what a patriot is might be what generates all the evil your Cambodia currently creates and exports all over the world. Your "parade" is a gathering of cowards, sir. And if an average Cambodian could spit that far, I'm sure he or she would spit on you and your "community event" that has nothing to do with this community anyway.

I'm an American. I don't care about stupid clan wars between a bunch of peasants who've been butchering each other for centuries on the other side of the world over border disputes that they refuse to work out intelligently on their own. A hundred years from now, you'll still be butchering each other. What makes your generation so special? Especially people like you who "fight" from very far away, where it's safe?

Let me guess "Get it Right" The Holocaust didn't happen, The Moon Landing was fake, and September 11th was a plot by Bush to invade Iraq. Ignoring world history, and substituting your own reality is not a great way to to approach Things

I agree with Get It Right, if you want to make changes in your country THEN take your parades and events over there. I'm sure you'll get better results.

What you need to do is learn the history of the Pol Pot regime, before you start barking like an idiot! First, you need to differentiate the different between WAR and GENOCIDAL. The Cambodian people did not go to war with Pol Pot nor did we have any weapons to fight against them. Their modus operandi were CATCH and KILL! So, for you to prejudge us being a coward is beyond stupidity as you were...... What do you suggest we do...... stand around and wait to be slaughtered? For, we are the fortunate one to have escaped this regime. So, here's my applaud to the Cambodian people who took it to the street to displayed their PATRIOTISM! I SAY GO AHEAD OVERSEA CAMBODIAN SUPPORT YOU MOTHERLAND AND SHOW YOUR PATRIOTISM!

I SAY GO AHEAD OVERSEA CAMBODIAN SUPPORT YOU MOTHERLAND AND SHOW YOUR PATRIOTISM! Matters of war are always matters of demographics in a hurry: "Not enough of me, way too many of you. Must do something about it. Now." Organized battles are rare, massacres are common. Always have been, always will be. Since Cambodia is known and documented by the UN as one of the largest purveyors of human trafficking on that side of the hemisphere, the fact that some weak clan is getting reemed, or has been reemed by a stronger, more politically powerful clan, doesn't really solicit my concern or sympathy. The fact that you import your brand of crazy over here, and pray that the brand continues over there, again doesn't make me sympathetic to your weaker clans plight. Your borders were established by western europeans back in the day to make organized trade more than a dream, and the fact that your "nationailist" clans have been butchering each other ever since is not America's problem. Work it out yourselves, or assimilate into another country, but don't prop up your weaknesses here on some kind of moral platform. I know too much about Cambodia to feel sorry for your shattered nationalist/clan dreams. If your political clan had the chance, and the power, to erase your immediate enemies off the planet in short order, you'd do the same thing they've been doing. You're not special. You're just on the losing side of a hundred year old clan/peasant war. Speaking as an American, I have no interest in your silly halfway around the world clan wars. Patriotism in America means fighting for what you believe in, and perhaps dying for it. Not running halfway around the world and heckling those left behind. If anyone needs a lesson in history, it's you. Start with "the civil war." Learn from us.

They didn't have much human trafficking in the 1970's when over a million people were being murdered...
Get it Right.... You keep on talking about fighting a fight far away... but your doing the same thing hiding behind a keyboard, and your ranting is pointless.
Stop with the fallacies and get it right...

You keep on talking about fighting a fight far away... but your doing the same thing hiding behind a keyboard, and your ranting is pointless. Stop with the fallacies and get it right... Wrong again, Sparky. Human trafficking in Cambodia is a timeworn tradition, since women aren't held in as the high regard as men are in that culture. It's so funny listening to people defending a culture from here that they would detest if they had to live by that cultures "rules." Frankly, I still remember what "patriotic" Cambodians chose to do when Viet Cong snipers came running to them with American soldier's hot on their tail end. They hid them. Some Cambodians even took up arms against us. And now they want to parade Cambodian patriotism here, and whine about how bad it is in their backwards country still tied to a culture 500 years behind the times. The "murder" you talk about is a civil charge. It dosn't apply in war, except by the winners. You have much to learn about this old world, Sparky, but keep trying to talk. I'm enjoying your pyrotechnical display of suburban confusion.
