Who do you think is buying that lie ! Venezuelans flooded to this country by the tens of thousands after your dictator seized power ! Guess you have never visited the US consulate. Currently Venezuelans are trapped by idiot boy chavez who , like his gay lover castro , will have venezuelans murdered by his goon squads if they see the line at the US embassy grow to more than a block long. He keep several sqauds of murderers on hand in the blocks around the US embassy. Soon venezuelans will be placed on dictator lock down and will be entirely forbidden to apply for a US visa.

Thanks Chavez for that!
Many people like you mention come to USA from other countries. USA is the world's refuge of coggers. Isnt that one of the reasons of the world finance crisis?

I believe jordit is dyslexic, as everything he writes is messed up! ALSO, anyone notice many people write and either;
- don't have source data, only their imaginary data
- are afraid to register (thanks dvd_abad)
.... because they are afraid little worms

Other than Colombians, and Chinese, I haven't encountered anyone wanting to move here.

I will say it's amazing how many people here either have family in the US, or want to go.

An INS (US immigration) bulletin regarding visa restriction due to the EXTREMELY high number of VENEZUELAN violators staying beyond the visa duration.

People living in a lawless country, don't understand laws, and feel they can break them and not hurt anyone. We will see.

"My friend is part of a professional ballet group in Miami, she came from Venezuela. She says the people she studied with in Caracas, are now forced to wear red Chavista apparel while traveling, red jackets and caps. Chavez has taken the profitability out of the shows, which are now open for free to "the people", who support Chavez, of course.

Now the dancers present in historically gorgeous buildings that have been trashed by the Chavista audiences. She says there is garbage everywhere.

They are now presenting their shows, while people are whistling, laughing, and throwing things at them. Since the shows are no longer profit oriented, the dancers are at the mercy of Chavez and whatever pay the government deems "is available".

Chavez insists that art should be available to everyone. This is one of his many services to the poor. But only the poor that support him, that is. That's just a little glimpse into socialism. Great concept, reality is hell."

The culture, and dancing is just a part of it, must be available to everyone, especially to the poor who are the vast majority, of course if you have a private dancing group you can have private shows where the audience pays for it, but if you work for a state-owned dancing group you must do what the government orders: work for the majority. The culture belongs to the people...

Thanks Chavez for that!

According to Guinness, in 2007 Venezuela has the record as being the happiest country in the world”.

The article points out that the results were based on a survey carried out by the Guinness World records organization which showed that 57% of Venezuelans were fairly happy.

All I see on Globovision is angry people in the streets shouting because of Chavev's broken promises. Doctors and medical staff who have had their salaries drastically reduced.. and no subsidies to maintian the hospital where medicines are scare and sanitary conditions intolerable. Yep he's a great guy that Chavez.

Hitler embraced culture

As for happiness, when I was here in the 90's, people were really happy.

Now, I'd still say they're pretty much happy, but I hear a lot more whining about food prices.

I think allll the material goods people THINK they need add a lot to stress and complicate life. One guy I worked with in Valencia (doctorate in law) said the chaos of Venezuela is what makes it so relaxed. I thought about that over the last few months, and I think he's right!

Everybody knows that Globovisión owner, Nelson Mezerane, wants Chavez out of power because he affects his interests and privileges, if you watch this TV channel you are gonna see what the owner of the TV station wants you to believe, but you said a great truth: Globovisión broadcasts 24 hours a day against the government, thats the best proof to convince many fools around that there is complete freedom of speech in Venezuela

Thanks Chavez for that!

You know there is no freedom of speech in the dictatorship of Venezuela! Name the stations that have been closed. Name the newspapers that have been closed. Name the political opponents that have been arrested. If lack the courage to do so , I and millions of others can .

Thank you! In the majority of my post, i've been critizising people that believe what they see in GLOBOVISION, of corse that's what you gonna see there, that TV station belong to the opposition like RCTV and must of the media in Venezuela. Now let me ask you some thing, is that freedom of speech or what? are they gonna kill every body in that TV station? you told me that your wife was in danger, so this people are too? I thought that you were lying, but no, you're just another victim of GLOBOTERROR.
