Back in the late 60s to early 70s, college was free! yes free! Thats
your community colleges. Now, it costs a bundle. What happened
to FREE? If we as a nation want our people to get ahead with the challenges out there and compete with other countries, which I hear so often, than make college affordable for all. ALL!

never, ever should someone sacrifice their education to save a few bucks. in the long run, a degree from a more prestigious college is worth 10x more in the future than the few thousand you save today.

I worked & retired from a local SUNY,(not a teacher.) I also put myself & two daughters through local community colleges & SUNY's, w/o having to incur any student loans because my kids were commuters,bought used books & took more than full course loads, so the extra credits were free!
Long Islanders have very fine public schools, right in the area, so there's no need to send them away to overpriced private universities at 20,30 or even 40k per year.
We, the people, should tell the administrations of all of
these 'wildly expensive' colleges, either lower your rates or go out of business!

Maybe we can't send everyone to college.
When all the ricans leave to go back to mexico or ricanland or wherever they came from; someone is going to have to do a little work around here.
Maybe some of you whiners will have to do something a little more physical that playing grand theft auto on your computer all day.

If they teach more abstinence in schools like Palin would like then all the kids will end up preggers, like Bristol, and won't even have to go to college.
