Here is another example of how another country is trying to become more like the USA. China and just about everyone are starting to model their buildings, music, clothing, stores, bars, mini marts and just about everything after the USA.

I find ironic that everyone who talks down about the USA is trying to emulate and be just like them.

But the problem with big money, and big business in Mexico is that criminals smell the money and will try to take it without working for it. Just like with Sabritas here in Mexico, a subsidiary of Pepsico. Fire bombing their plants and distribution centers because they will not pay the extortion quota. Is Wal-Mart next. Threaten to hijack their delivery trucks and kidnap employees for money?

At the big cinepolis movie chain down here, they threatened to come in and start killing movie viewers if the chain did not pay the quota.

If the cartels get stronger Mexico will be slower then they are now in keeping up, as many corporations will shun them because of the violence and corruption.

With higher expendable income like in the USA, also follows drug sales. People around the world want their high, and the more money they make the more they will spend to get release from the day to day grind. Thus making the cartels even stronger.

One way we could get away with the drug violence is to just make everybody poor, LOL.

Sorry for being off topic a little, but it is all part of the food chain and the problems persented.

It's a good day for making serious decisions, especially if you can discuss them first with people whose opinions you respect. But make sure you've got all the facts before making up your mind.
