Just a thought for tourist going to Kauai in September. The Kauai County Fair will be on during the first week and part of the second week. It is worth going to. It is just like your county fair back home. Aloha from Northeast PA.

The real reason Go! raised its rates is because they've had to install really expensive alarm clocks in the cockpit to make sure the pilots wake up when the plane gets to Hilo.

After the expensive alarm clock charge there will also be a "government union stupidity and greedy fee" assessed per ticket. Making the Hilo one-way fares $299.00 each way, but only if flown on the same day. Otherwise it's $349.00 one way from Hilo to Honolulu. Sounds like a good deal, doesn't it? Tourists will go for it and the Merry Monarch Festival will have lots of visitors...

The Hilo airport waiting area is a joke. You never see an airplane and have no idea what is going on at the ramp. The way to end this stupid idea is every one fly out of Kona for a month. The first thing the bird brains will see is a reduction of air line flights which means a loss of landing fee's then no passengers and guess what. They can remove these stupid fee's or have an airport that no one uses.

Boy the state DOT must be living in caves! 371% increase for one of the least comfortable airports in the state! Big island is already hurting - 52% Hotel occupancy - 2nd highest unemployment in the state! Way to go - keep the gang tackling going!! Incredible!!!!!

Tough economic times for the unions. This required the union bosses that control DOT to tell them to start raising fees, any and all fees. Must be done to refill the union bank accounts that were not filled with enough money. Unions will not suffer as long as they can raise fees for no good reason other than "They Can" Hold on to your wallets, more wasteful union increses are on the way. Ahhh, just another day in the little third world of Hawaii Nei.

"GO needs to go fly a kite". Boycott Go Hawaii! If we all start flying Hawaiian (a true Hawaiian Airline) or Mokulele Go will be forced to go away.
"Don't Fly Go Airlines Hawaii, boycott, boycott, boycott! Besides their employees at HNL are all rude and unfriendly!

All the airlines should Boycott Hilo airport and see how fast they change their minds. Fire everyone of the brain dead Government officials who came up with this idea, another classic example of the incompetent, over paid bureaucrats infesting the system. Wake up people! Vote and throw all the bums out of office from Hilo to Ni'ihau.
