~~~~~~~~~~ Retrain? It doesn't sound like they were ever trained in the first place! |
According to the story (you did read it, right?), he was inspecting the planes to make sure they were properly secured for the evening and tamper-proof. They are the Transportation Security Administration, after all. Not that I'm a fan of theirs, but it seems like that was well within their responsibility. |
Or a Lipinsky. |
No comprende. |
I hope that TSA doesn't goof in more damaging ways.
He stepped on the aircrafts' advanced dildonics equipment.
This "inspector" should - if there is any justice - be prosecuted for criminal damaging of aircraft. The only corrctive action mentioned so far is "retraining".
Wouldn't it have been more convenient to TRAIN this guy the FIRST TIME? |
|
There is nothing quite like being kept safe by a frightened Republican jackass that eats twinkies as the brain food that makes him smarter than Jethro. Training? Seeshhhh, think the yocub is capable of learning, then you truly are as stupid as you are supposed to be.
Intelligence is not a requirement for all federal emplyees, not just TSA. Why should it be, they have union protection? If a certain liberal dem gets into office, he wants these same types of employee to decide what medical treatment you receive. I can just see it now, you need a hangnail treated and they will only approve heart bypass. |
|
|
My guess is that this was the first time this inspector checked these make/model aircraft, and it being dark out, didn't see the no-step sign.
The onus is on TSA to adequately train their people. |
|
Is it? Woulda been a nice question for the Trib to ask the TSAspokesdoofus. Is clambering around the ramp after dark in scope of TSA's authority? |
|
|
What would you expect when you hire, as Federal employees, the same illiterates that had the job prior to TSA formation that didn't do the job properly then?
The only change was that their salaries were quadrupled and quintupled and they got new uniforms. Teach them to read and they won't break airplanes! |
|
I'm still trying to figure out why someone on the G ramp didn't stop/question an individual hanging from the pitot tubes of an Embraer ERJ 145 jet... unless he was checking the cockpit windows.
regardless, I think there should be some overhaul with the TSA.. at least when the FAA was in charge of safety, the primary safety inspector was a pilot-at least some point in their life - and knew what s/he could or couldn't touch on an airplane. My flight instructor taught me this FIRST, before even touching an airplane: The PROP is always hot.. or in this case, pitot tube... |
|
|
The FAA is still in charge of safety - the TSA is in charge of security and the TSA inspector wasn't trying to determine if the plane was safe, just secure.
Apparently, the inspector didn't hear the "beep beep" of the pilot's key fobs when they closed and locked the doors. What's really disturbing is the TSA admitting (read between the lines) that they can't secure a gated airport runway and staging area so they have to make sure that the planes doors are locked at night. |
Scott: Misplaced Texan is an idiot, he/she should go back to Texas where they do everything backwards anyway!. No doesn't seem like aircraft is within the responsibility of TSA. Nothing should be. |
Tough to do your job correctly when you're too busy strip searching the 86 year old white lady.
Disturbing, isn't it? |
Making sure aircraft are SECURE is not within the scope of the TRANSPORTATION SECURITY Administration? I'm not a fan of the government by any stretch of the imagination, but this seems like a pretty logical function to me. What do you figure their job is besides ensuring SECURITY for TRANSPORTATION? |
Again, you're an idiot. The responsibility of securing aircraft is that of the FAA and the airlines. TSA is going where is does't belong, obviously. |
