Mattel 4Q net income slips 1 percent; sales spike

Considering that we are still trying to dig out of the worst recession since 1929, and Hasbro and Leapfrog had to do early announcements that they would miss the analyst's estimates, I don't see why such a negative article on such an impressive performance by the Mattel team. I don't know if anyone noticed but this company is hitting on all pistons and increasing the dividend twice in less than a year is phenomenal. Do we see any of the Dow thirty doing anything close to that? Actually, I haven't checked but the headlines have been void of such action of late, recession time and all. If no one will say it today, I will, Kudos Mattel for your stellar sales and earnings report and might I say, you have many wonderful attributes as a responsible American company.
